Absolutely Spoiled - Chapter 22.1
Chapter 22.1
[T/L: Sorry, I was unable to upload a chapter yesterday.]
A young girl followed the head teacher into the classroom after the bell rang.
“Students, let’s welcome the new classmates with warm applause.”
After the head teacher’s words, applause from the podium came one after another, and all were curious about the new classmates.
Yu Zhiyi was still wearing a mask, and her forehead was also covered by bangs. This aroused everyone’s curiosity, and they all wanted to see what the young girl looked like under the mask. Even students in the back rows started to whisper about Yu Zhiyi.
With the head teacher’s signal, Yu Zhiyi stood up on the podium and introduced herself. “Hello everyone, my name is Yu Zhiyi. I am very happy to be a classmate with everyone. Please give me some advice in the future.” After speaking, she bowed slightly.
Hearing the young girl’s soft voice, other students thought that she must be an innocent-looking girl.
“Wow~” The few male classmates deliberately made noises.
Li Shaozhou, who was sitting in front of Shi Yi, cooperated with the surrounding buddies and suddenly felt that his a*s was kicked. Feeling the pain, he looked back angrily, only to see Shi Yi giving him a warning look. He just thought, as the class monitor, that Shi Yi was trying to do his duty, and Li Shaozhou stopped his misbehaving act.
The head teacher signalled for students to be silent and pointed to Yu Zhiyi to sit on the only empty seat in the classroom. “Classmate Yu Zhiyi, sit down in the fourth row from the bottom for now.”
“Thank you, teacher.” Yu Zhiyi thanked the teacher and walked to the fourth row.
Yu Zhiyi sat next to Jiang Mier, and she waved at Yu Zhiyi. “Hi.”
Yu Zhiyi smiled at her.
Since learning about Yu Zhiyi’s identity from Qiao Lezhi last night, Jiang Mier has developed a keen interest in her. Additionally, their head teacher had specifically told her to take care of this classmate.
Yu Zhiyi found out that there were several books in the drawer as soon as she sat down. Curiously, she took the books out, opened them, and saw that they were indeed her books that she used when she was living at Shi’s house. So she understood that Shi Yi had bought the books here.
Jiang Mier was sitting next to her, and she could clearly see that there were notes in different colours on her book.
Jiang Mier was a little curious. “Hey, are you using the books that others have used before?”
Jiang Mier thought that Yu Zhiyi had borrowed books from high school graduate students because she couldn’t attend school for half a semester.
Yu Zhiyi shook her head and showed her name on the books before saying, “No, these are my books.”
The two chatted softly, and the head teacher on the podium clapped his hands. “Okay, then open the textbook; let’s review yesterday’s lesson.”
Jiang Mier discovered that Yu Zhiyi had no pens, so she flipped through her drawer. “Have you brought a pen? I’ll give one to you if you don’t have one.” Jiang Mier had quickly entered the state of “taking care of people”.
Yu Zhiyi nodded at her. “I have a pen.” But her school bag was with Shi Yi. She then looked at Shi Yi, who was sitting in the second row from the bottom.
She didn’t understand why Shi Yi put the book in the drawer but forgot to give her the bag.
“Aw—” Li Shaozhou felt his back being poked and turned his head to see Shi Yi handing out two pens.
“Hand it to Yu Zhiyi,” he said.
Li Shaozhou was surprised and didn’t take the pens, so Shi Yi repeated again. “Hand the pens to Yu Zhiyi.”
Li Shaozhou hurriedly took the pens while looking at Shi Yi with doubts.
Yu Zhiyi took the pens without any hesitation, and she didn’t think it was wrong, but the students, who were sitting in the back rows, didn’t think so.
They saw that Shi Yi placed a few books on Yu Zhiyi’s desk in the morning, and they thought he did it as the duty of the class monitor. But seeing him send pens to the new classmate, they realised that things were not that simple. However, they couldn’t inquire about that because their head teacher was still in the class.
“Ding–“
Finally, the bell rang.
The head teacher sorted out the books and teaching materials and said loudly, “Okay, the class is over. After a while, class representatives will collect your workbooks, so please remember to hand them over. Everyone should copy the classical Chinese text twice and give it to me tomorrow.”
When the teacher left the class, some students went out of the room, and the rest gathered around Yu Zhiyi.
“Hey, Yu Zhiyi, why are you wearing a mask?”
It was not allowed to wear masks and hats in the classroom, so students were curious why the school allowed Yu Zhiyi to wear a mask.
With so many eyes, Yu Zhiyi became a little nervous, and when she was thinking about how to answer them, Shi Yi came over and put her school bag on her desk.
Seeing this, the students were surprised.
“Class leader, do you and Yu Zhiyi know each other?”
“Wow, the relationship is unusual.
Shi Yi glanced at everyone calmly. “Stand aside for me, don’t be around here!”
His tone was not fierce, and the students around them didn’t want to back off without an answer.
“That’s not good, what is the relationship between the two of you? Be frank.”
Yu Zhiyi sighed, put her school bag into the drawer, and shouted at Shi Yi. “Brother.”
Everyone was shocked. “Brother?”
“Class leader, is this your sister?”
“Why didn’t you say it earlier? Since she is the class leader’s sister, then we are also friends.”
Yu Zhiyi knew that Shi Yi was very popular among others, but she didn’t expect such a reaction.
Shi Yi didn’t say a word, neither specifically admitted nor denied. They probably tacitly agreed that they were friendly to Yu Zhiyi.
Knowing that Yu Zhiyi was related to Shiyi, everyone wanted to be more friendly with her.
“Yu Zhiyi, let’s go to the cafeteria together at noon.”
“Okay.” Facing the person who was warmly invited to be with her, she obediently took out the food box in the drawer.
But in the cafeteria, she didn’t even eat. She just bought a milk carton and drank it without removing the mask. It aroused others’ curiosity more.
They even went to Yu Zhiyi’s roommates in private to inquire about her, but couldn’t get any information.
Finally, they waited until Friday. Friday, they had physical education. ‘Yu Zhiyi must take off her mask, right?’
But on Friday afternoon, it started to rain. The physical education teacher walked into the classroom with a whistle and spoke to the students. “Today’s lesson is cancelled.”
The students who were going to see Yu Zhiyi take off her mask in gym class. “?”
Yu Zhiyi became more and more mysterious in the hearts of everyone.
………………..
Yu Zhiyi went home with Shi Yi on Friday.
While Yu Zhiyi was packing her bag, Shi Yi waited patiently.
“Yiyi, bring the school bag.”
“Oh.” She obediently handed over her school bag.
Shi Yi picked up the school bag and weighed it twice, which was quite heavy. “Taking so many things?”
“They are all books that the teacher said to preview.”
“Really honest.”
How many people in the class would really listen to the teacher preview lessons?
Yu Zhiyi was one of them.
Opening the zipper of the school bag, he unceremoniously stuffed his homework book into Yu Zhiyi’s school bag. Before she could take it back, he hung it on one of his shoulders.
When he moved, the pink keytag on the zipper swayed.
“Yiyi, I think you’d better remove the key tag after going home.”
“Huh? This keytag is so cute.”
“It’s cute, but… do you think it’s really good for your brother to carry a school bag with a pink doll on his back?”
As soon as Yu Zhiyi understood his words, she pursed her lips and quickly took off the keytag.
