Absolutely Spoiled - Chapter 25.2
Chapter 25.2
The new semester started at the beginning of the spring season.
In the first week, Li Shaozhou and Jiang Shaowen broke the class broom by fighting in the class and were caught by the headteacher!
“You two, stand for me!”
“Hold your hands!”
When the headteacher realised the two boys were still angry with each other, she told them to stand in the corridor while holding their hands.
“You will be a second-year high school student soon, and you are still playing around all day. Do you know how important three years of high school are to your future? Many students are studying hard, and they will be admitted to good universities in the future.”
The classmates lay by the window, listening to the headteacher’s explanation.
Li Shaozhou and Jiang Shaowen hooked their fingers and turned their heads in different directions.
Someone secretly took photos and sent them to a group of students, and after a blink of an eye, many students in other classes poked their heads through doors and windows to watch the excitement.
After the punishment was over, the student sitting next to Li Shaozhou asked why he fought with Jiang Shaowen.
“Oh, he was in a bad mood because he broke up with his girlfriend. So I said to him, “Is there no fragrant grass in the world? You can find another girl who is better than the previous one.”
But in the end, they had a disagreement, which turned into a fight.
In fact, this was also a small matter between students. But when the headteacher found out, they were punished for holding hands in the corridor under everyone’s gaze, which was… embarrassing.
If two girls held hands, it wouldn’t be a problem, but when two boys held hands…
After breaking up, Jiang Shaowen entered a period of emotional depression and began to publish some sad texts on QQ, which were serialised like youth pain literature.
He seemed to be extremely disappointed in “true love”, his premature love was doomed to break up, and the relationship had no good results. He finally even commented, “I have lost my feelings for women.”
Li Shaozhou only felt his scalp numb when he saw that sentence.
The photos of Li Shaozhou and Jiang Shaowen holding hands went viral in the school, and some students even posted them on the school network. Their names were not revealed, but as their faces were fully displayed, Li Shaozhou became furious.
Li Shaozhou was very dissatisfied with this and directly threatened the school network. “If you don’t delete the post, I will report it to the school!”
The student who posted photos just for fun was frightened and immediately deleted them after apologising.
During this time, Qiao Lezhi fell in love with novels, looking at books from a bookstore outside the campus. There were sudden inspections by the headteacher, so sometimes Qiao Lezhi would scatter the novels among her roommates and let them hide.
Yu Zhiyi flipped through one of the books and was attracted by the story above.
Those were all short stories, but most of them ended in tragedy. Therefore, when she finished reading it, she was depressed.
In lots of stories, the main guy and girl used to love each other a lot, but in the end, they couldn’t be together for different reasons.
She completed reading the book when she came back to her bedroom in the evening, and she usually felt sad at night.
In the last sad story, the main male character couldn’t remember things anymore because of an accident. The main female character waited for a long time. When they saw each other again, the main guy already had another girl.
She felt very sad. After she finished reading it, her eyes became red, and she asked for another book to read.
That book made Yu Zhiyi really interested in the novel.
Yu Zhiyi’s second novel was different from the first one. It was full of happiness and sweetness.
Afterward, she realised that she didn’t enjoy reading sad stories. So she would skip to the end of the book before starting to read it. She would only read the book if the main characters ended up happily together.
Qiao Lezhi: “You won’t be shocked after watching the ending.”
Yu Zhiyi: “I prefer it when a story has a clear happy ending rather than a surprising but uncertain ending.”
She went through a time of feeling very sad, and she would prefer not to have too many unexpected things happen. She just wanted to find a happy future where she could feel optimistic.
“If you really love it, you should just write it yourself,” Qiao Lezhi said. “You are good at writing and have simple writing skills, so give writing a try.”
She started writing down things that inspired her in a notebook. After that, she wrote a few short stories as she came up with ideas.
“How can someone express themselves?”
The story’s plot was shaped by what she thought, but she always felt like there was something lacking when she read it.
Qiao Lezhi asked her to show it to her, but Yu Zhiyi didn’t do that. She thought that because she had never felt attracted to someone before, she couldn’t describe the gentle and pleasant feeling of being in love.
