Absolutely Spoiled - Chapter 35.1

Chapter 35.1
Jiang Mier couldn’t make up her mind to abandon the little turtle, so she boldly bought a small transparent glass tank and placed it under the desk in the classroom. She even nicknamed it “The most dangerous place is the safest place!”
The dormitory aunt was checking the rooms once in a while, and it would be risky to keep the little pet there, but in the classroom, the desk was piled with thick books, and the teacher would not stare under the desk every day.
The glass jar was not high and could fit into a desk drawer.
A few days passed, and Jiang Mier’s little turtle became very popular in the class, and some people even came to see the turtle after class.
Under the watchful eyes, the little turtle shyly retreated into its shell and refused to poke its head out again.
Jiang Mier didn’t like reading, and she just wanted to be a scumbag student. So during class, this silly little turtle also became a good thing for Jiang Mier to pass the time.
“That classmate in the second-to-last row, get up and answer these two questions!”
It happened that the history teacher had sharp eyes and had already seen through everything while standing on the podium. She couldn’t bear it anymore and deliberately called people up to answer questions.
Jiang Mier didn’t see it at first. She didn’t realise she was being asked a question by the teacher until her deskmate nudged her and told her to look at the teacher.
“Um.” She couldn’t think of the answer because her mind was all mixed up.
The teacher nodded and said, “Yes, it’s the cabinet,” as Jiang Mier looked at her classmates for help with her eyes.
Jiang Mier: ‘What? What…’
The history teacher didn’t want to let her leave right away, but asked a simple question again: “When did the May Fourth Movement happen?”
[Tl: Early modern China saw an intellectual turning point with the May Fourth Movement (溔四運勅, 五四运动, wǔ sì yùn dòng), an anti-imperialist cultural and political movement. It resulted in the resurgence of Chinese nationalism as well as a reappraisal of Confucianism and other Chinese cultural institutions.
Three thousand students demonstrated in Beijing on May 4, 1919, starting a protest that quickly gained traction throughout China and included intellectuals and members of the working class.]
The classmate in front of her quietly reached behind her and made a 1 and 9 gesture to her.
Jiang Mier saw the numbers and answered. “19…19…”
“Yes, it was in 1919.” The teacher told her to sit down and said, “Let’s check the questions on the screen.”
‘A mistaken alarm.’ Jiang Mier sat in the chair with a relieved heart. She carefully put the glass tank in the drawer and didn’t want to look at the turtle.
Yu Zhiyi moved to the right and whispered, “Mier’s history is getting better.”
Wen Tingyu didn’t change her facial expression; she leaned her head to the side and quietly said, “You think too highly of her.”

When she got back to her dorm, Jiang Mier joked about the dangerous situation from earlier in the day. ‘Wow. The history teacher almost caught me. She asked two very mysterious questions. I didn’t even know any of it, and I still got it right.”
Upon hearing this, Yu Zhiyi and Wen Tingyu stared at each other.
Wen Tingyu pushed her glasses up and said, “Look, answering questions in class depends entirely on luck.”
Yu Zhiyi couldn’t stop herself from laughing. She took her phone and wrote about the interesting things that happened today in the book.
Have a wonderful day!
