Chapter 36.5

After the cake was made, Li Shaozhou acted as a “coolie,” carrying the cake without complaint, and the three of them went to the designated restaurant together.

At the entrance of the restaurant, they meet Shi Yi.

The birthday girl, Qiao Lezhi, arrived earlier than anyone and waited for her friends.

Li Shaozhou, Shi Yi, and Yu Zhiyi sat in a row, facing Jiang Mier, Qiao Lezhi, and Wen Tingyu.

Each person ordered a steak in different flavours.

After waiting for some time, their table was lined with plates containing food. The steaks were served one after another, but not everyone could use the knife and fork very well.

Our birthday girl didn’t have a problem, as she used her knife and fork skillfully.

“Mm… Mier, I can cut it for you,” said Li Shaozhou, looking at Jiang Mier, who was sitting opposite.

“No, no, no.” Jiang Mier refused without raising her head, cutting her steak into pieces with brute force as if she were fighting to the death.

Wen Tingyu talked a little and ate her food quietly. The steak was meticulously cut into strips of roughly equal size.

Let’s look at the other two.

Yu Zhiyi didn’t need to do the heavy work as Shi Yi had already started to cut the steak for her.

“It’s a little hot now. You can eat something else first.” After finishing cutting the steak, Shi Yi said to Yu Zhiyi.

After finishing the steak and the buffet food on the table, everyone was seventy percent full.

Now it was time for the most important task today, and Li Shaozhou put the cake on the table and cheered. “Come on, come on, serve the cake!”

Although it was difficult to sing Happy Birthday in public, they still lit candles and made a wish!

The mischievous Jiang Mier wiped cake on Qiao Lezhi’s face, and Qiao Lezhi also started fighting, not wanting to be left behind. 

Wen Tingyu calmly got up from her seat, stood to the side, and watched for a bit, then went to get herself some food on a plate.

After a few seconds, Qiao Lezhi and Jiang Mier stopped fighting and went to the sink to clean their hands and faces.

Qiao Lezhi returned and noticed some new snacks on the table; then she ate a slice of pizza and liked the taste. ‘Hey Yiyi, this pizza tastes really good; give it a try.’

Qiao Lezhi passed a slice of pizza to her, and Yu Zhiyi subconsciously opened her mouth and took the slice directly.

“Umm…it’s really delicious.”

When she came to her senses, she had pizza in her mouth and shrimp in her hands, which were too oily to hold chopsticks.

There were shrimp shells on the plate in front of her, which made it hard to hold the pizza, so she asked Shi Yi to help her take down the pizza.

Shi Yi looked and saw the little girl walking towards him with pizza in her mouth.

The boy leaned in and took a bite of the pizza under the warm light.

Seeing such a scene, everyone was in shock. 

Qiao Lezhi, who was very surprised, accidentally dropped her chopsticks on the floor.

Jiang Mier hurriedly covered her mouth, worried that she might accidentally tell a scary secret.

Our little girl’s mind was no different than others. She felt her whole body freeze in an instant.
