Friday, September 21st.

As Shu Yi said that he was not available on his birthday, Ke Xue arranged a birthday party the day before Shi Yi’s birthday, which was Friday night.

After arranging everything, Ke Xue asked for He Weiran’s help to invite Shi Yi.

He Weiran first invited two other roommates, and then they all invited Shi Yi to the party.

This time, Shi Yi agreed.

Unexpectedly, on the way to find the private room, Shi Yi ran into Jiang Mier, who was there to play with her friends.

“Shi Yi! What a surprise!” Jiang Mier didn’t expect Shi Yi to be here. “I didn’t think I would meet you here.”

Shi Yi said hello back and said, “What a surprise.” And when he realised Li Shaozhou was not with Jiang Mier’s group, he warned her casually. “It’s a good idea not to drink here.”

“Definitely,” said Jiang Mier. Actually, she didn’t enjoy alcohol either. 

Although Shi Yi was well-known at the university, he rarely talked with girls. So seeing him talking with Jiang Mier, Shi Yi’s roommates started to tease him.

“Brother Yi’s love life is about to bloom.”

“They seem to get along well.”

“Hey little sister, we’re having a party for Brother Yi’s birthday. Do you want to come?”

Jiang Mier: “Isn’t Shi Yi’s birthday tomorrow?”

Yu Zhiyi continued to speak to them every day about Shi Yi, so Jiang Mier knew when Shi Yi’s birthday was. 

Hearing Jiang Mier’s question, Shi Yi’s roommates thought she knew Shi Yi well. So they said, “We’re celebrating it early.”

Jiang Mier: “Sure, what’s your room number? I’ll come and see it.”

One of the roommates told her the room number before He Weiran could stop him. 

Then they said goodbye to Jiang Mier and went to their private room.

There were already three girls in the room when the four boys came in; they were Ke Xue and her friends.

Seeing the questioning look of other boys, He Weiran hurriedly explained the situation. “We thought it’d be lively if we had more people.”

Shi Yi smiled and graciously accepted their well wishes without any signs of being unhappy or turning them down.

He was very good at talking to and handling people.

Ke Xue started to feel more calm as she saw this.

The party started, and after Ke Xue sang a song, she moved closer to Shi Yi on purpose.

Sometimes, after Ke Xue sang a song, he would move closer to Shi Yi on purpose.

Shi Yihui gestured for her to stay away from him while softly pointing in another direction.

To lighten the mood, Ke Xue clenched her teeth and ordered He Weiran and the others to take out the cake.

When they started to cut the cake, Jiang Mier walked in and said, “Brother Yi, happy birthday!”

Although Shi Yi didn’t have female friends, Jiang Mier was Yu Zhiyi’s good friend, so Shi Yi cut a piece of cake and handed it to Jiang Mier.

Seeing that, Ke Xue suddenly felt very worried.

According to He Weiran, Shi Yi was “especially concerned” about this girl when he arrived.

However, Jiang Mier didn’t realise that anything was strange. She stared at the room of people she didn’t know and asked Shi Yi, “You are celebrating your birthday party early; why didn’t you tell us?”

“I didn’t know they were going to have a party for my birthday. It happened at the last minute,” Shi Yi replied.

The private room was noisy because someone was singing loudly. 

According to Ke Xue, Jiang Mier seemed to intentionally get closer to Shi Yi when talking.

Jiang Mier finally saw that Ke Xue was watching her with a strange look, so she looked back at her with confidence and without fear.

Ke Xue: “…“ ‘Is this girl called Jiang Mier showing something? Jiang Mier is tall, but her skin is not very light, and her facial features are tougher. Why does Shi Yi like this girl?’

Ke Xue thought about Jiang Mier and felt like she could still win.

Jiang Mier did not remain there; she ate some cake and then went away.

Ke Xue let out a deep breath of relief.

But what she didn’t know was that after Jiang Mier left the private room, she stood outside the door and called the person who would really threaten Ke Xue.

Yu Zhiyi was looking at the sky outside the window, lost in thought. When her phone started to ring, she answered it without looking at who it was.

Her friend Jiang Mier’s voice came from the other side of the phone. 

“Yiyi, I saw Shi Yi going into the KTV with some boys. There were not just boys in the private room, but also three girls.”

“They are having a big party for Shi Yi’s birthday, and I also ate some cake.”

“Yiyi, do you want to come with me?”

Yu Zhiyi got lost in her thoughts upon hearing those words. 

‘Should I go?

Shi Yi’s actual birthday is tomorrow. But he went to KTV to celebrate with his new college friend before his big birthday, and he didn’t invite me…’ Yu Zhiyi’s eyes were filled with tears. ‘Why didn’t he invite me to his birthday this year?’

The person who had celebrated his birthday with her every year left her alone this year.

The poor girl felt a sharp pain in her heart.

However, she still couldn’t resist picking up the bag that was hidden under the table.

After they finished eating the cake and drinking the wine, they started to sing. 

The next item was Ke Xue’s confession song.

If Ke Xue started to like someone, she couldn’t hide it. Therefore, less than a month after she saw Shi Yi, she couldn’t stop herself from telling Shi Yi how she felt.

She believed her plans for today were flawless.

The arrival of Jiang Mire upset her; now that Jiang Mier has gone, Ke Xue has gained her confidence.

She picked a sweet song about love. 

Ke Xue grabbed the microphone and smiled at Shi Yi as the music started. She said, “I want one of the boys here to sing this song with me.”

He Weiran quickly said, “Today is Shi Yi’s birthday; let’s celebrate. Shi Yi, you should go there to sing.”

Ke Xue gave the other microphone to Shi Yi and said, “Okay, now I want Shi Yi to come with me.”

At that moment, a girl’s voice sounded loud and clear, saying, “Stop.”

The peaceful vibe was interrupted when someone suddenly burst into the private room. 

Everyone looked up at the door.

Si Yi was sitting on the edge of the sofa, looked up, and then sat up straight.

He Weiran was the first person to talk. “Who are you?”
