Chapter 44.3

At nine o’clock, students left the restaurant.

Yu Zhiyi informed Yan Xi and left with Shi Yi.

 “Brother…”

“Let’s go.”

The two of them held hands and left.

“Wait, did I hear you correctly? Is Shi Yi’s girlfriend calling him brother? Wow, she is too kind,” someone said.

“Brother Yi’s girlfriend is so gentle.”

Normally, boys wouldn’t like sweet things as much as girls do, but when they heard a girl calling her boyfriend “brother,” who could resist it?

The young couple took a taxi from the city centre back to the school.

Yu Zhiyi felt a bit tired and yawned while muttering, “I’m feeling sleepy.”

“Sleep here for a while, and I’ll wake you up once we arrive.”

“Okay…” She rested on Shi Yi’s arm and closed her eyes.

Before she could fall asleep, Shi Yi held Yu Zhiyi’s hand and asked, “Yiyi, can I borrow your phone for a while? My phone is out of battery.”

“Here, take it,” Yu Zhiyi said, giving her phone to Shi Yi. 

Shi Yi knew the phone password, and as soon as he connected the phone to the Internet, a message appeared on the screen.

The taxi stopped one hundred metres from the school, and Shi Yi woke up Yu Zhiyi.

She was still a bit drowsy after getting out of the taxi.  “Have we arrived?” She rubbed her eyes and looked around.

Shi Yi grabbed the girl’s arm quickly and waited for her to get steady on her feet. “Are you planning to sleep on the ground? It’s not too late.”

“I’m very sleepy.” 

Yu Shiyi felt very sleepy in the car earlier, so she didn’t want to get out of the car.

Shi Yi’s mobile phone suddenly lit up with a bright light, and Yu Zhiyi saw it and realised that it was her phone. “Isn’t this my phone?”

“Yeah, I just used it.”

“Oh, then you can use it.” She was okay with that.

Shi Yi looked at the phone and didn’t know what to say. “Yiyi, you…”

Yu Zhiyi put her hands over her mouth and yawned. “What’s the matter?” she asked, looking at him with her watery eyes.

Shi Yi shook his head and put her phone in her bag. “It’s fine; let’s go back to school,” he said.

Room No. 405-boys dormitory in Building A

He Weiran, and two roommates found out that the person who was really good at playing games in their dorm has been spending a lot of time coding a programme for a week.

“Hey Yi, you been working a lot lately. What are you up to?”

“Earning money,” Shi Yi replied.

“Do you need money? We can help you.” 

“There is no shortage of money, but I need to make money,” Shi Yi replied again.

Upon hearing Shi Yi’s words, He Weiran became confused. ‘I don’t understand what the top student is thinking. When school began, he used to play games with us every day, but now he has started earning money seriously.’

But what made them jealous and impressed was that Shi Yi could earn money by coding. They were still working hard to pass the exam, while their roommate was working hard to earn money.

The majority of the students in the Computer Department knew that freshman Shi Yi and junior Jiang Chizhou were a good match.

‘Thinking about how people are different is very frustrating.’ He Weiran shook his head and sighed, drank a can of beer, and started a new game.

Shi Yi ignored them and looked at the computer screen, typing on the keyboard quickly.

“Ding--“

Hearing the sound, he quickly took out his phone. After checking it, he switched off the computer, changed his clothes quickly, and left the dormitory.

In November, the weather was really cold. When Shi Yi went downstairs, he saw the young girl standing there, rubbing her hands.

He rushed over to the girl, held her hand, and said, “If you need help, call me right away. Don’t wait.”

He didn’t want her to stay here in the cold wind.

“It’s fine; just waiting a bit,” Yu Zhiyi replied.

They were both thinking about each other, and they didn’t need to say anything.

Shi Yi whispered something to the girl, and they walked hand in hand. 

First, they wanted to eat outside, but since the weather was bad, they decided to stay on campus and eat in the cafeteria instead.

While waiting for the food, Shi Yi sat next to Yu Zhiyi and folded the paper towel in half and then in half again, making it into a long strip.

Yu Zhiyi wondered about what he was doing and asked, “What are you doing?”

“I’m just bored. Just passing the time.” He twirled the folded paper around his finger and replied.

Yu Zhiyi thought it was true.

Out of nowhere, Shi Yi suddenly looked at her and said, “Give me your hand.”

Then Shi Yi put a long piece of folded paper towel around her middle finger.

“Brother, you act like a child.”

“Huh?” Shi Yi locked his eyes on her fingers, then took off the folded paper towel and asked her with a smile, “I’m naive, so why are you so cooperative?”

Yu Zhiyi: “...”

‘Okay, then wait!’
