Chapter 45.1

Usually, December would be very cold, but in City C, the weather has been nice so far. 

“The winter in City C is so nice. It’s sunny here, unlike my hometown where it rains and snows in the winter,” Zhong Jingxuan, one of Yu Zhiyi’s roommates, said while looking outside the window. “We have to walk through the mud on the way to school, which makes us feel really depressed, she complained. 

However, soon after she said those words, the sky changed its colour, and by the time school was over at noon, it was raining cats and dogs outside.

Zhong Jingxuan quickly said, “Hmm. It seems today’s weather in City C is also really bad.”

Yu Zhiyi and her other roommates: “...”

But then only they realised another problem.

“What do we do? We didn’t bring an umbrella.” Everyone panicked looking at the heavy rain. In the morning, the weather was nice, so the majority of the class didn’t bring umbrellas. So even if someone wanted to borrow one, they were not able to do that.

Today, Yu Zhiyi’s class was on the first floor, and the main entrance of the teaching building was just a few steps away. Therefore, many people were stuck here, and some had already asked friends from other classes to send them umbrellas.

“I’ll ask my boyfriend if he has classes today and see if he can send two umbrellas over,” Zhong Jingxuan took out her cell phone and said. 

Upon hearing their friend’s words, the other two friends, who were single, turned their attention to Yu Zhiyi. “Yiyi, why don’t you ask your boyfriend too?”

As soon as they finished speaking, Yu Zhiyi pointed to the front and said calmly, “He’s coming.”

The large droplets of rain pounded against the top of the umbrella, making a heavy sound. The tall boy walked with the umbrella, and each step seemed to tap into people’s hearts and evoke a sense of excitement.

‘He’s coming to pick me up.’

Seeing the handsome boy coming despite the heavy rain, the roommate was extremely envious. “Wow, this is too fast!”

Zhong Jingxuan: “Did you tell him in advance? How smart.”

Yu Zhiyi shook her head and said, “No. I didn’t say that.”

It was indeed Shi Yi who came by himself. Yu Zhiyi was very curious and asked, “You didn’t send me a message. What if I have left?”

Shi Yi shook his head and said with certainty, “I know you are here.”

He didn’t have classes in the morning, but he remembered Yu Zhiyi’s class schedule, so he went there at the right time.

Neither too early nor too late, just perfect timing.

Shi Yi came with two umbrellas in hand, so Yu Zhiyi lent one to her roommates.

As they were about to leave, Yu Ziyi noticed someone she knew. “Oh, there’s Li Shaozhou. It seems like he also doesn’t have an umbrella.”

“It’s okay, someone will take care of him,” Shi Yi replied as he held Yu Zhiyi’s fingers and pulled her away.

“Li Shaozhou!”

As they stepped out of the teaching building, they heard Jiang Mier’s voice.

Yu Zhiyi looked in the direction where the voice came from and saw Jiang Mier rushing over with a colourful umbrella. 

Seeing that someone had bought an umbrella for him, Li Shaozhou rushed into the umbrella like a colourful butterfly, without any sense of embarrassment at being watched.

‘These two love stories are absolutely amazing!’

Yu Zhiyi hugged Shi Yi’s arm tightly and moved closer to her boyfriend. “Brother, buy a bigger umbrella next time!”

Shi Yi rejected her suggestion without hesitation. “No.”

“Why?” Yu Zhiyi raised her head and looked at him puzzledly.

Shi Yi’s eyes moved around her, and she finally looked forward. “Stay closer to me; don’t let me get wet,” he said with a smile in the corner of his lips.

As the New Year’s Day was coming soon, all the departments started practising their programmes in November. By the middle of December, the training got even harder.

Yu Zhiyi joined the university’s etiquette team to get more credits.

Going to university was like going into a small community. You would be able to join various groups and make more friends quickly at the university. Knowing more people would give you more chances to succeed and would help you learn and improve.

With Shi Yi’s encouragement, Yu Zhiyi joined different clubs and groups. She was able to stay in some groups while she withdrew from some. 

This time, she joined the university etiquette team, and she did a great job at the college’s big event, which was really impressive.

The high heels she bought last time didn’t fit her feet very well, so after she practised two times, her heels got sore from rubbing.

“Hey, everyone, stop what you’re doing and get in touch with me later.” The head of the group let everyone take a break. 

Yu Zhiyi discovered a faraway stool and sat on it. She took off her high heels and saw that her feet were red and sore.
