Chapter 45.3

Shi Yi represented the university in the National Information Technology Competition. He was granted five days’ leave but returned to the university on the fourth day.

Seeing Shi Yi, Yu Zhiyi was very happy. “Brother, how was the competition?”

“1,” he raised the index finger in his right hand and replied.

“The first place?” Yu Zhiyi exclaimed. 

Shi Yi nodded slightly.

“Wow!” The girl couldn’t stop showing her excitement. “Brother is so awesome!” she jumped and said. 

Suddenly she remembered that Shi Yi was supposed to come tomorrow. “Brother, didn’t you tell me you would come tomorrow? Why did you today?” she asked doubtfully. 

Shi Yi took a big step forward. Now there was only a one-foot distance between them. “Because I missed Yiyi so much,” he muttered gently while touching her forehead with his. 

Yu Zhiyi didn’t expect this sudden movement, and her face turned bright red instantly. “Ah, I’m so shy,” she muttered after taking a step back. Then she covered her face with her hands. 

Shi Yi did that purposefully. ‘Who wrote in her novel that she hoped he could express his feelings openly so that she could feel them?’

Therefore, he decided to make her wish come true.

Yu Zhiyi, who was still shy, glanced slightly at the boy and said, “Brother, you are different now. You wouldn’t say these words before.”

“Before? Wasn’t I still a minor at that time?” He was a good person, so how could he lure a child into a love trap? However, the child he mentioned was only three months younger than him.

Upon hearing those words, Yu Zhiyi recalled how Shi Yi treated her before graduating from high school. ‘He had always treated me as his younger sister. How did the role change so fast?’ After pondering for a while, she asked a question that had been on her mind for quite some time. “I have a question, when did you fall in love with me?”

“Hm… I have no idea,” Shi Yi replied seriously.

Shi Yi couldn’t understand what kind of feeling he had for her before. 

Yu Zhiyi was a little dissatisfied with Shi Yi’s reply. “How come you don’t know? You kissed me during the summer vacation,” she said with a pout.

“It’s not summer vacation.”

“What? You didn’t like me even when you kissed me?” Now she was getting really mad.

‘It’s not what I meant.’ Shi Yi coughed a little. He remembered that even before the summer vacation, he had been upset many times because of unintentional touches. “Why do you think so? I’m not that low,” he said, touching the bridge of his nose. 

Yu Zhiyi couldn’t realise what Shi Yi said for a moment. A puzzled expression was written on her face. “Then was it started before the summer vacation?” She tried to remember if Shi Yi treated her differently at that time. “But you always treated me as your sister before.”

Shi Yi was stunned for a moment and almost laughed out of anger. “Who told you that I always treated you as my sister?”

“You said it yourself.” Yu Zhiyi didn’t back off. “Can’t you remember you had always told others that I’m your sister?”

“Haha…ha…” Seeing the girl looking like an angry kitten, Shi Yi couldn’t stop his laughter for a while. “I did it on purpose,” he said, laughing while petting the girl’s head lightly. 

“Purposfully?” Yu Zhiyi didn’t expect that answer. 

“Yiyi, during the high school period, teachers, parents, and classmates are very sensitive to the topic of dating. That’s why I said you were my sister. Otherwise, we would have faced some trouble,” Shi Yi explained to the girl while playing with her hair. 

Shi Yi had realised at that time that the name “premature love” would cause unnecessary trouble and affect their studies, so the only thing he could do was continue their brother-sister relationship. 

“And I said that I don’t know when I started to see you other than a sister because I actually couldn’t remember it.” He looked straight into her eyes and said seriously, “Maybe from the moment you were sent to my house, you were destined to be with me.”

Otherwise, why would Shi Yi, who disliked the childishness of children of his age, treat a slow-reacting little girl as a treasure?

“So, Yiyi, you don’t have to worry about that problem at all.” His words came from the bottom of his heart.

Yu Zhiyi felt a sweet sensation flowing through her body after she listened to her boyfriend’s words, and she felt like she was the happiest girl in the world.

After learning of his victory, Shi Yi’s roommates suggested that they would celebrate it right now. But he postponed it to another day.

“Let’s go to the mall now.” he looked at his girlfriend and said.

“Why go to the mall now?”

After giving her a quick glance, Shi Yi looked up at her and motioned for her to join him in the unoccupied pavilion. Then he crouched down carefully and grasped her slender feet.

There were still red marks on the skin, but they were not as serious as before. But Shi Yi was heartbroken and was quite angry. “I’m gone for three days, and you can’t take care of yourself?”

“It’s just that the shoes don’t fit well. I’m already planning to buy new ones,” Yu Zhiyi replied quietly.

When warm hands cradled her cold feet, Yu Zhiyi looked embarrassed. She subconsciously shrank back, but Shi Yi held them firmly.

Seeing the condition of Yu Zhiyi’s feet, he immediately changed his mind about going to the mall. “Forget it; you better not go with this, and I’ll buy it for you directly.”

‘It turned out that he wanted to buy me new shoes.’ Yu Zhiyi asked, “What if they still didn’t fit?”

“Didn’t you fail to find a suitable one after you tried them in person?” Shi Yi asked back.

Yu Zhiyi nodded and said, “It seems to make sense.”

Still, she wanted to go. “We can’t let Champion go shopping for shoes for his girlfriend alone~” 

Few people could resist when a girl plays coquettish and speaks nicely. Shi Yi finally couldn’t take it anymore and gave his sweetheart a few kisses, taking advantage of the fact that no one was there.
