They took Ning Suya to their rented home first because it wasn’t dinnertime yet, and she claimed she was not hungry.

After entering through the entrance and looking at the surroundings and layout, Ning Suya nodded contentedly and said, “Not bad, not bad; this decoration style looks really comfortable.” She then stopped in front of two doors. “You guys each have a room?” she asked with a slow smile.

She knew the two children were in love, and their affair started after they entered the university. She knew that young couples nowadays would live together, and as the two children were 22 years old, she didn’t think it was inappropriate.

After having a sudden realisation, Yu Zhiyi told her, hurriedly pointing at the rooms, “My room is this one, and my brother’s room is that one.”

Ning Suya stopped teasing the couple because she realised the girl took her words seriously. “Okay, okay. Auntie Ning is not an old-fashioned person. I won’t interfere with your young romantic relationships. This time, I only stopped by to take a look at your residence. I’m relieved to find that your living conditions are good now.”

The house was very clean and tidy, which showed the residents who were living here knew how to maintain a house.

Originally, Shi Yi planned to take his mother to eat local specialties, but suddenly he received a call from the company because of an emergency situation. So he reluctantly left his mother and his girlfriend at home and hurried to the company.

Actually, Ning Suya didn’t really care about eating. Her primary motivation for coming here was to learn about the living conditions of her children. “Yi Yi, tell your aunt about your daily life.”

Yu Zhiyi provided an overview of the situation.

“You and Shi Yi are alone in this city, and your uncle and I are not here. Other than that, we old people don’t understand the new things that young people are doing nowadays. We, as parents, just hope that our children can live a good life.” Ning Suya gave a bank card to Yu Zhiyi and said, “Take this card. You don’t have to give it to Xiaoyi. Take it out when you encounter difficulties.”

“Aunt Ning, I can’t accept this.” Yu Zhi pushed it away.

Shi Yi was Ning Suya’s son, and it was not appropriate to accept a bank card from Shi Yi’s parents, even if it was for Shi Yi to spend.

Ning Suya refused to take the card back. “Yiyi, don’t take this seriously. You can call me mom since I saw you grow up. Xiaoyi and you will eventually be together, and you are my family member. So I think you will do the best for Xiaoyi, which is why I gave you this card.” She gave the girl a comfort smile and continued, “He is a proud young guy; that much is certain. Ning Suya truly treated Yu Zhiyi as her own child, and Yu Zhiyi knew that clearly. “Aunt Ning, I’m making money now, so I can help my brother.”

“Yes, you want to do everything in your power to support him because you love him. Do you realise that his father and I share the same thought?”

Yu Zhiyi was deeply moved and shaken by every word spoken by Ning Suya. She thought for a while and replied, “I promised my brother that I would not hide anything from him.”

Ning Suya grinned broadly upon hearing this and said, “Xiaoyi has a good eye.”

She didn’t test Yu Zhiyi with this card, and she was deeply moved by Yu Zhiyi’s response. If they could be sincere with one another, it would be fantastic.

Ning Suya, who understood Yu Zhiyi’s thoughts, didn’t pursue this matter anymore, and she put the bank card into her purse.

After supper, the two went for a stroll to help them digest. On the way, they talked about their past incidents.

“You were so tiny and slender when I first met you. I was very depressed by it. Xiaoyi was quite energetic at the moment. He was incredibly active and would only be peaceful if someone held and rocked him, even though he was unable to move or speak. “He has liked you since he was a child, and his thinking is more mature than his peers. Even I don’t even know when his liking for you began to change.”

“But you two are destined to be together.”

Yu Zhiyi had never heard those words before, and she felt happy listening to them.

Ning Suya spent three days in City C. She carefully placed the bank card on the table and walked out. It was made quite obvious in the note that it was a coming-of-age present for her two kids.

They believed that 22 was the true beginning of life, where a person entered society. So she took that fact as an advantage and left the bank card for the two children.

Simultaneously, Yu Zhiyi and Shi Yi looked at the bank card on the table.

After giving her the card, Shi Yi finally said, “Put it away.”

“Me?”

With a nod in agreement, Shi Yi pressed Yu Zhiyi’s finger back, stuffed the card into her hand, and said seriously, “Just think of it as learning how to be a housekeeper in advance.”

‘Housekeeper!’

They appeared to have become husband and wife for real.
