After Ning Suya left, Yu Zhiyi welcomed a new guest, Wen Tingyu.

“I’m here to explore the city!” As soon as Wen Tingyu arrived, she said her reason for visiting City C was to explore the city. 

There was a rapid development of the tourism industry in City C in recent years, so there were many tourist attractions they could visit. 

After finishing her work and updating her books ahead of schedule, Yu Zhiyi decided to take her friend out to show Wen Tingyu the city. 

However, Yu Zhiyi noticed something strange after some time. No matter where they went, Wen Tingyu was absent-minded and had no intention of travelling at all. 

‘It seemed there was something in her mind.’

Yu Zhiyi found a comfortable and quiet place, and the two sat under a tree. 

Even after sitting there, both of them were quiet for some time because they didn’t know how to start the conversation. 

Wen Tingyu had a calm personality that was not timid or inferior. In high school, Yu Zhiyi knew her friend had not changed. She was the same as in high school, and it made Yu Zhiyi even more embarrassed.

“Tingyu, do you mind telling me about your situation?”

When smart people would talk to each other, there was no need to be too straightforward.

Wen Tingyu looked back at Yu Zhiyi, clearly catching up on the meaning of Yu Zhiyi’s words. Almost as if she were having trouble, she played with her phone, swiping her fingertips back and forth on its edge.

After some time, Wen Tingyu’s voice reached Yu Zhiyi just as she was going to shift the topic.

“I slept with him.” Wen Tingyu revealed something shocking.

Seeing Wen Tingyu looking at Yu Zhiyi without blinking her eyes, Yu Zhiyi asked, “Did you sleep with a vegetarian or meat dish?”

 With a rolling of her eyes, Wen Tingyu declared, “I’m not Shi Yi.”

 “What happened to Shi Yi?” asks Yu Zhiyi.

Wen Tingyu said, “Hey, hey, hey.”

Yu Zhiyi: “In this case,…”

Wen Tingyu has been in love with someone for several years and has tried numerous times without success. At last, she reached this stage.

Instead of asking her why, Yu Zhiyi merely asked, “Do you regret it?”

“No.” Wen Tingyu responded immediately and firmly. She was always clear about her desires.

Monday was the fourth day that Wen Tingyu had been here. 

On Monday, Yan Xi, who had begun her internship already, scheduled an escape room game with Yu Zhiyi. Of course, there were two couples among them, as well as an additional single buddy. Now that Wen Tingyu had joined the group, six people were barely sufficient to constitute a team.

“I chose a secret room theme. What do you two think of it?” Yan Xi sent a screenshot of the theme to Yu Zhiyi. 

Yu Zhiyi searched for the store name in the software and clicked on it to take a closer look.

The comments about it were particularly eye-catching. There was a task where you had to kiss for 10 seconds to get the key to the next level.

Yu Zhiyi exclaimed. “Wow, this is too exciting!”

Yan Xi said, “My ex-boyfriend said he liked this theme very much.”

Yu Zhiyi: “…Another ex-boyfriend?”

Hearing Yu Zhiyi’s words, Yan Xi was very calm. “Ahem, just saying it, Jiang Chizhou always makes me angry,” she said as it happened every day.

“Does your friend named Yan Xi have many ex-boyfriends?” Wen Tingyu inquired in private, expressing her curiosity. She would not make light of other people’s emotional decisions, but if someone was unfaithful, she would find herself a little mentally disgusted.

Yu Zhiyi noticed an update on Wen Tingyu’s page in the evening. It was a screenshot with the Escape Room theme name attached that was shared after they purchased the tickets.

Wen Tingyu’s wall was usually filled with literary sentences, and there were almost no words in this post, so this one stood out.
