Absolutely Spoiled - Chapter 48.2
Chapter 48.2
Shortly after the postgraduate admission exam, Yu Zhiyi had more time and would visit home more frequently as the winter break approached.
She would make breakfast and dinner at home because Shi Yi was preoccupied with work, and then they would go outside and play together when they had time.
Although Shi Yi was 21 years old, people in the company looked at him with admiration.
During the workplace meal, one confused person asked, “Brother Yi, you are still young; why do you work so hard?”
Since they had been acquainted for more than a year, it was likely common knowledge that Shi Yi was from a well-off family. It was understandable that today’s young people wanted to make money, but seeing Shi Yi working much harder, many people in the company had that question in their minds.
‘He must be aiming for something big, surely?’
At the gathering, where the lights were blazing brightly, the little kid had grown up to be a steady and mature man, full of energy and life.
“Ask me what you want…to ask…” He sipped some wine, and drunkenness showed from his slightly closed peach blossom eyes. “My little girl wants a home,” he said himself, wanting to offer her everything he had since he loved her so much.
Even if he didn’t have it yet, he would try his best to get it as long as she liked it.

Shi Yi’s coworker at the firm called Yu Zhiyi and said that Shi Yi was drunk.
It was a chilly January day. Yu Zhiyi grabbed up the scarf on the bed and hurried out of the university when she got the call.
Although a few people in the company were familiar with Yu Zhiyi, most of the others hadn’t seen her before.
‘Oh! So this is the little beautiful girl who lives in Shi Yi’s heart.’ That was what most of them thought.
Shi Yi was sitting on the chair with his head down.
After approaching him, Yu Zhiyi bowed slightly and said, “Brother, it’s time for us to go home.”
“Okay.” He reacted as soon as he heard the familiar voice.
She took hold of Shi Yi’s hand, but he just looked at her with a daze. “Brother, are you drunk?”
“Yeah, I’m drunk.”
Yu Zhiyi burst out laughing and couldn’t stop thinking about the time he had lied about being drunk at his high school graduation. Yu Zhiyi put the scarf on Shi Yi as they left the restaurant. She started to wave for a cab, but Shi Yi grabbed her arm and stopped her. “What’s wrong?”
“I might need to feel the wind to get rid of the smell of alcohol,” Shi Yi said with a small pout.
“Okay, let’s take a walk outside first,” Yu Zhiyi agreed.
She was happy to go with him and had no objections.
“Yiyi, your birthday is coming soon, isn’t it?” Shi Yi asked abruptly as they were strolling along the street.
Two days had passed since Yu Zhiyi’s 21st birthday. Perhaps Shi Yi was too drunk and confused.
“Brother, you remembered it wrong,” grinned Yu Zhiyi. “My birthday just passed.”
“Oh, Yiyi is already 21 years old.” Shi Yi seemed to remember.
“Yes.”
Shi Yi halted as the chilly wind came his way. He embraced the girl standing next to him and shielded her from the chill.
Spending too much time outside in the chilly wind was not a good idea. Just as Yu Zhiyi was about to convince Shi Yi to go home, she heard the boy’s raspy voice.
“Then let’s get married at this time next year.”
These two words had a profound effect on Yu Zhiyi.
When he didn’t hear a response, Shi Yi kept asking, “Yiyi, are you okay?”
“Okay.” With blushing cheeks, the girl leaned on Shi Yi’s warm chest and hugged him tightly.
“Then you must remember what you said.”
“Um.”
They made a plan.

When the results of the postgraduate entrance exams were announced in February, Yu Zhiyi’s diligent work had paid off.
She interned at the company for the remaining months of her senior year and did thorough research to gain a deeper understanding of Shi Yi’s work.
Now that they could go to work and come home together, that reminded them of their childhood.
Some people said that, apart from family and friends, the longer a couple spent time together, the more their feelings would deteriorate. If things developed in a positive direction, love would extend into family affection; otherwise, they would gradually drift apart.
But Shi Yi and Yu Zhiyi had gone through so much together, and they would probably be inseparable for the rest of their lives.
Have a nice day!
