Chapter 51.2 – After Marriage

Yu Zhiyi met Xu You again when she went downstairs.

Xu You was surprised to see Yu Zhiyi coming downstairs so quickly.“ “Sister-in-law, are you leaving so soon?”

“Well, I will come later,” she replied.

Yu Zhi took a taxi back and went straight to the supermarket near her home. After buying ingredients she wanted, she went home and stayed in the kitchen for more than an hour.

When she finished preparing the nutritious lunch, a layer of sweat broke out on her forehead.

She packed a box of food and went to clean herself before heading out of the house.

Xu You met Yu Zhiyi again. “Ah! You came back?”

Yu Zhiyi arranged food on the table and even placed the chopsticks and spoons for Shi Yi. “What have you been eating lately?” she just asked as if she didn’t know the current situation.

He worked overtime at the company every day, and he just filled his stomach with some food to suppress his hunger. He didn’t remember what he ate, but he was sure that they were really different from the food in front of him.

“Each meal is different; I can’t remember what I eat.”

Yu Zhiyi sat down opposite him.

Before moving his chopsticks, Shi Yi asked, “Have you eaten?”

Yu Zhiyi shook her head and replied, “I’m not hungry; this is specially prepared for you.”

However, Shi Yi took a spoonful of soup and handed it to her.

Yuzhi tasted it and said with a smile, “The taste is still fresh; you drink it quickly.”

After that, Shi Yi didn’t play tricks, and he started to drink the soup.

Seeing he was drinking the soup faster as he was going to catch the bus, Yu Zhiyi understood that he might have developed a habit of eating fast due to his work. “Hey, eat slowly.” She reminded him twice.

Seeing he had almost finished his meal, Yu Zhiyi said, “Brother, I actually came here in the morning.”

Upon hearing that, Shi Yi looked at his young wife with a frown. “I didn’t know that,” he said with disbelief in his voice.

He worked ten hours without closing his eyes, so after coming to his office from the technical department, he couldn’t stop taking a nap in the office.

Raising her head, Yu Zhiyi turned to face Shi Yi, saying, “I know you haven’t been home for three days.”

Hearing that, Shi Yi realised the purpose of Yu Zhiyi’s sudden visit.

He didn’t argue when the hidden issue was revealed; instead, he said, “Yiyi, I didn’t hide it from you on purpose, but I did not do it right; I apologise to you.”

Yu Zhiyi nodded her head. “I didn’t blame you for anything, but you can’t hide it from me if you think about not worrying me. If you tell me at the beginning, I will understand you too.”

Shi Yi sighed slightly and looked down before abruptly saying, “I remember you have classes today.”

Both parties were thinking about one another and tacitly supporting one another.

After some time, the two grinned at one another.

Although sometimes they had difficulties, they understood and trusted each other, which was the key to a long-term relationship.

In fact, He Weiran accidentally saw it in college and mentioned it once, but when they asked, Shi Yi smiled without saying a word, making it so mysterious.

Xu You had almost forgotten that, but seeing that name again, he remembered that incident.

In a soothing voice, Shi Yi responded, “It’s okay; I just want to hear your voice.”

“Yes.”

He has already completed the penalty, and naturally he didn’t want the guys sitting next to him to hear his wife’s voice. Putting a stop to the call, Shi Yi said, “Yiyi, rest early.”

Yu Zhiyi, who was watching a drama with her tablet just now, slowly got up from the bed, feeling that Shi Yi’s words were not right. “Didn’t you ask to pick you up in a while?”

The call ended, and the others were shocked. It was completely different from what they thought.

At the beginning of the call, they couldn’t recognise Yu Zhiyi’s voice because she acted like a baby. After realising it was Yu Zhiyi, they felt like they had eaten dog food.

The mysterious person they thought was Shi Yi’s wife, Yu Zhiyi!

“Brother, are you drunk again? We are already married.”
