Absolutely Spoiled - Chapter 53.1
Chapter 53.1 – Little Bun
Yu Zhiyi pursued both a master’s and doctoral degree, dedicating five years to her studies.
During her PhD studies, they also embraced the birth of a new life.
Before deciding to start a family, they meticulously planned the timing and duration of pregnancy, delivery, and more. Their luck was exceptional, with the baby arriving exactly when they had hoped.
Shi Yi faced a major issue during Yu Zhiyi’s pregnancy.
He did not allow Yu Zhiyi to go into the kitchen. He thought Yiyi, who was expecting a baby, shouldn’t spend extended periods in the kitchen.
Previously, he and Yu Zhiyi maintained a well-organised life with him working outside and her working inside. However, with Yu Zhiyi’s pregnancy, they were unable to make food at home.
But Shi Yi didn’t know how to cook, so in order to achieve this goal, Shi Yi dedicated his time to watching videos for learning. Despite successfully preparing the dish, Shi Yi found its flavour to be overly monotonous.
Having become accustomed to Yu Zhiyi’s cooking, he felt he was a failure in that part. Shi Yi faced the unappetising food and proposed, “I want to bring an aunt over to look after you.”
Yu Zhiyi refused to accept help and shook her head. “I am capable of looking after myself!” She was not fond of outsiders interfering in their affairs. She believed cooking was fine, but Shi Yi was simply too anxious.
Yu Zhiyi gently rested her hand on top of his hand and spoke slowly, “Cooking is truly quite simple. A lot of people continue working during pregnancy. Don’t be overly concerned.”
Shi Yi felt a little depressed. For the first time, he felt that this shortcoming of his was really terrible.
He gained knowledge from his mistakes and dedicated extra time to learning and attempting.
Seeing her husband was working really hard, Yu Zhiyi felt sad, so finally she agreed to Shi Yi’s previous arrangement. “Let’s find an aunt. It will be easier.”
Shi Yi gave her a hug and reassured her confidently, “Yiyi, I can certainly improve my cooking skills!”
Shortly afterwards, Shi Yi, who had no prior knowledge of cooking, acquired his culinary abilities while Yu Zhiyi was pregnant.
Throughout her pregnancy, Yu Zhiyi was practically active in her writing career. She finished only one novel while completing her studies because she reduced spending time in front of the computer.
Once Yu Zhiyi completed her current book, she had to delay the beginning of her next book.
Nevertheless, supporters showed their empathy and showered numerous well wishes on Weibo, urging her to prioritise her health and deliver a healthy baby.
After reading these touching messages, Yu Zhiyi was filled with joy. During the upcoming period, she would be able to focus on finishing her thesis.
Ning Suya said that when the child was born she would request an extended leave from her job and come to City C to look after the child.
Yu Zhiyi felt extremely embarrassed; however, her entire family coddled her and advised her not to stress or overthink but to simply remain in a joyful and cheerful state.
She stayed connected with her grandmother through phone calls, and her grandmother was deeply worried about Yu Zhiyi’s well-being.
Because her grandmother was unable to travel frequently due to her old age, the old lady felt more uneasy.
It was inconvenient for Yu Zhiyi to take care of the elderly because of her pregnancy, so Shi Yi went to their hometown and got an internet connection to the old lady’s house and placed a simple-to-operate smartphone for their grandmother so that they could video chat conveniently.

The baby was born full-term.
At the age of twenty-six, Shi Yi and Yu Zhiyi welcomed their baby boy.
He was named Shiyu after the homophonic names of his parents’ surnames.
****
He was born with a nice appearance and received his parents’ good traits from an early age. His skin was smooth, tender, and white when he was still a newborn, and no one would let go of him.
His facial features got more delicate as he got older, and he was the type of youngster who had inherited his parents’ best traits.
He was a happy, easy-going, and lovable child when he was younger.
Ning Suya was beaming as she held her grandson and said, “Our little Ayu is well-behaved, unlike Shi Yi, who was like a naughty monkey when he was young and could not rest for a moment.”
Despite being Ning Suya’s biological son, Shi Yi’s place in Ning Suya’s heart decreased once the baby was born.
She called her grandson “Little Ayu” while calling her son by his full name. “Little Ayu must have inherited this from Yiyi,” grinned Ning Suya as she rocked the baby in her arms. She remembered when Yu Zhiyi was a baby; she behaved quite obediently.
He was happy as a child, but not noisy. He would smile at others when they hugged him and spoke to him, and it would make their hearts dance.
He wouldn’t cry or cause a scene even if they put him away; instead, he would be silent.
He always behaved himself admirably, and everyone predicted that this youngster would grow up with a good personality.
Have a nice day!
