Chapter 58.3 -Tingyu x Luobai 4

Although it was raining, no one mentioned taking a taxi, and they just kept walking. 

Instead of arguing with her, Shen Luobai purposefully angled the umbrella in her direction.

Wen Tingyu suddenly hugged him after realising what was happening. “This way, neither of us will get wet in the rain,” she whispered into the man’s ear.

Shen Luobai was shocked by Wen Tingyu’s action. 

Wen Tingyu’s house was closer to the hospital. It was about 1.5 kilometres away from the hospital, and just a few minutes later they arrived at their destination.

“We have arrived at your home.” Shen Luobai reminded Wen Tingyu.

Wen Tingyu looked up at the familiar residential building and asked, “Did I tell you that I live here?”

Shen Luobai frowned as if doubting his memory. “You moved?”

Wen Tingyu: “Yes.”

She just moved into another house two days ago.

After the divorce, her parents bought her a house under her name. And when she became an adult, she could own it. 

She was now in her twenties and could move out.

When she mentioned this matter to her father, he agreed, fearing there would be conflicts between Wen Tingyu and her stepmother if they lived under the same roof. 

“Why didn’t you say that earlier?”

“You didn’t ask me.”

Shen Luobai felt that he was fooled by her, but Wen Tingyu was very calm.

The two had no choice but to go back.

However, when they walked onto the street, Wen Tingyu came up with a new idea and pestered him, “I’m hungry.”

Shen Luobai: “…”

So, the two went to a restaurant again.

At Wen Tingyu’s recommendation, they went to a restaurant. 

The server grinned as he presented the menu, saying, “The couple’s set menu is half-price during our anniversary celebration.”

Shen Luobai: “…”

Wen Tingyu was seated across from him at this moment, staring at him while holding her chin up with one hand. As she understood that everything was under her control now, Wen Tingyu ordered the couple’s menu. “It’s on sale, so good, save money!”

Shen Luobai couldn’t refuse at all.

Although summer days were long, the sky was overcast this afternoon, and it appeared to be becoming dark early.

The first time Wen Tingyu called him was around three in the afternoon, and the second time was close to five. After walking for a while and having dinner, it was almost seven o’clock in the evening.

At night, people’s emotions become more intense.

Shen Luobai didn’t talk, but he took the trouble to send Wen Tingyu home. 

Shen Luobai was a person with a dull personality, the kind that wouldn’t cause ripples even if a stone was thrown into the water.

Wen Tingyu had been guarding him for so many years, even during those three years when she forced herself to give up on him.

She forced herself to forget him, but at the same time, she would miss him. 

The reason she was able to have a crush on Shen Luobai for three years in high school was that, as a girl, she was afraid of being rejected, which was similar to Yu Zhiyi’s mentality at the time, and she was even more sensitive than Yu Zhiyi.

Later, Yu Zhiyi was drawn into Shi Yi step by step, and Wen Tingyu couldn’t help herself and took the initiative to express her feelings.

However, the result was different from Yu Zhiyi’s.

The two stood under the streetlight, and even though they were under umbrellas, they could still see each other’s serious expressions.

“Shen Luobai, I want to confirm something.”

Shen Luobai: “?”

“Do you really not like me as a person?” she asked, gritting her teeth. “Or is there some other reason why you don’t want to accept me?”

With a look of hopelessness in his eyes, he finally said, “We can be friends.”

Wen Tingyu felt so annoyed after hearing those words. ‘Tsk, who wants to be friends with you?’ Wen Tingyu raised her arm slightly. She folded her fingers in a beckoning gesture and said, “Lower your head a little; I have something to tell you.”

Shen Luobai frowned but still bent down to her obediently.

‘It is the time!’Wen Tingyu hooked one hand behind the man’s neck, stood on tiptoes, and kissed his lips.

The man’s lips were thin, but they had a noticeably soft touch.

She bit him once three years ago, and she kissed him once three years later.

Shen Luobai had never expected her to do such a thing.

Wen Tingyu quickly moved away from him again, lightly touching her lower lip with her finger, which was very seductive. She said, “I’ll let you go today.” And she left hurriedly, leaving behind the shocked man.

As Shen Luobai stood there silently, his black shadow was elongated by the street lights. He eventually reached up to touch his lips since he was still unable to contain himself.
