Absolutely Spoiled - Chapter 64.2

Chapter 64.2 – Tingyu x Luobai 10
Wen Tingyu helped her boyfriend to find an affordable personal care worker.
Some caretakers wouldn’t like to go to the countryside, while others demanded a sky-high fee. Luckily, they found a suitable person.
On the day Qiu Huiyi was discharged from the hospital, she was in a happy mood. When she found out she was heading back to her hometown, she couldn’t have been happier.
Shen Luobai and Wen Tingyu took her back, and the house that Qiu Huiyi was going to stay in was close to Wen Tingyu’s grandparents’ place.
Standing at her front door, Qiu Huiyi playfully shooed them back to the city, saying, “You guys head on back! I’m living here now, and I’m so happy!” She was thrilled. Even though she felt a bit sad about leaving her son, she wanted him to chase his own happiness.
Before Wen Tingyu and Shen Luobai took off, they stopped by to see Wen Tingyu’s grandparents, who were surprised to learn that the two were together. These two old folks had lived a long life, mostly untouched by the world’s ups and downs, but thankfully, they enjoyed a peaceful and happy existence.
Now that their younger generations have found their own happiness, they all expressed their blessings.
“But your father’s side…” The old man also knew his son-in-law’s temper and was afraid that he would not give them an easy time.
Wen Tingyu comforted them, saying, “It’s okay; we will find a suitable time to tell him.”
When everything was settled, Wen Bin would naturally agree.

After getting back to the city, Shen Luobai dropped Wen Tingyu off at her place first.
Thinking she might be hungry, they stopped by the supermarket downstairs to grab some fresh ingredients and chatted about what to make for dinner later.
“I’m not picky; anything works for me,” Wen Tingyu said, keeping it chill.
Shen Luobai headed straight for the meat section, insisting, “We need to get some meat.”
Once they had everything, Wen Tingyu decided to lend a hand in the kitchen.
She asked Shen Luobai, “Who do you think cooks better, you or me?”
“Me,” he replied confidently, not holding back at all.
Wen Tingyu closed the tap, handed him the washed dishes, and reminisced, “Back in college, I rented a place off-campus.”
She had lived in the dorms during school, but later she decided to rent and work part-time to make some cash.
Eating out was too pricey, so she figured it was better to cook at home and gradually get better at it.
But Shen Luobai, who had been cooking since he was a kid, had way more experience, and Wen Tingyu couldn’t help but feel a bit outmatched.
They split the tasks of cooking and cleaning up, and the relaxed evening made it feel like they had been living together for ages.
Wen Tingyu placed the last washed dish in the cupboard, standing on her tiptoes because the others were stacked too high. Just then, Shen Luobai appeared behind her, reached over, and effortlessly lifted the dish to the top shelf.
When Wen Tingyu turned around, it felt like Shen Luobai had completely enveloped her. Her instinct was to step back, but just as she was about to, she hesitated.
She glanced sideways, brushed her arms against Shen Luobai’s waist, and gently nudged him forward with her body.
Shen Luobai stumbled back a few steps, hitting the sink behind him. It wasn’t painful, just a close call.
Their bodies were pressed together, and that reminded them of that unforgettable summer vacation filled with indulgence and pleasure. But now, things were different.
“I need to wash my hands,” she said.
“Let me help,” he replied.
He took her arms from around his waist, guided them in front of him, and placed her hands under the tap.
He cleaned her hands using some hand wash and meticulously demonstrated the six-step handwashing process, making sure to clean every nook and cranny between her fingers.
In the end, Wen Tingyu lifted her hands and couldn’t help but exclaim, “They’re so clean!”
Shen Luobai grabbed a tissue and wiped the water off her delicate hand, feeling the softness of her fingers.
Her fingers were clean and perfect, and even her fingertips looked soft and pale. In contrast, his hands were rough and calloused from years of hard work.
She could guess what her boyfriend was thinking at a glance, and she leaned down and kissed his palm, not showing any distaste but instead complimenting his long fingers. “You have really long fingers.”
Perfect for playing the piano, for sure.
She couldn’t help but say, “If I ever have a kid, I’ll definitely encourage them to learn the piano.”
Shen Luobai instinctively curled his fingers.
Wen Tingyu held onto his finger tightly, pushing him further.
Shen Luobai hesitated before replying, “Don’t worry about this place; I come here a lot.”
No matter how busy he got, he made it a point to come by every week to tidy up, making sure it was ready for her return.
Wen Tingyu shook her head, clarifying, “That’s not what I meant. I’ll be starting my internship next semester,” she mentioned.
“Where at?” Shen Luobai asked.
Her slender fingers traced circles on his chest, and her lips parted in a way that was undeniably tempting. “Come closer, and I’ll tell you.”
“Listen…”
He hesitated, unsure of what was holding him back from moving forward.
Wen Tingyu pulled her hand away and took a step back, meeting his gaze as she said, “There is a sentence in Simone de Beauvoir’s “Love Letters Across the Ocean”… Our meeting is meaningful only when you also want to see me”. So, you’re saying this is all because I was too eager, and you were going with the flow, right?” Her eyes were so deep that it was hard to read her feelings.
“No,” Shen Luobai quickly replied, trying to reach for her.
Wen Tingyu dodged him swiftly, leaving his hand hanging in the air.
She avoided his touch and looked down. “So, you just want something casual and don’t want to get too close?”
“Tingyu, I’ve never seen it that way!” He grabbed her shoulders, making it hard for her to pull away.
“Then maybe there’s a chance you’ve fallen for someone else, like that stunning girl with the long black hair…”
“Hmm—”
Without saying anything, he decided to show her how he felt instead, kissing her with a passion that was even stronger than before.
She found herself pressed against the kitchen wall, with one of his hands behind her back and the other cradling her head to keep her safe.
The kiss was intense, filled with a longing he struggled to contain. It was a battle between restraint and desire, all hinging on a single thought!
Shen Luobai gripped the woman’s chin, urging her to look up. A warning echoed in her ears: “Tingyu, don’t push my buttons on purpose.”
He was well aware of Wen Tingyu’s intentions.
Their feelings and connection didn’t need to be spelt out; they were intertwined, lost in a web of unending desires.
If he couldn’t be with Wen Tingyu forever, he knew he’d never find anyone like her again in this lifetime.
The first person he encountered was so extraordinary that if he couldn’t have her, he’d choose to be alone for the rest of his days!
Wen Tingyu was breathless as he finally carried her back to the room. “See? Living together makes things a lot easier.”
She understood Shen Luobai’s pride; even if she had intentionally left the key behind, he wouldn’t take advantage of it to claim the place for himself.
So, she planned to guide him step by step until he couldn’t say no anymore.
This all happened so suddenly, and they had no backup for family planning at home.
As Shen Luobai hesitated, Wen Tingyu pulled him closer and said, “It’s okay.”
“Is it safe?”
“Yeah.”

Wen Tingyu played with the man’s thick black hair, looked up at him, and with a hint of irony said, “Shen Luobai, I just lied to you again. The answer to that question is, No.”
