Chapter 65.3 – Tingyu x Luobai 11

Qiu Huiyi, who was now living in the countryside, decided to start growing vegetables. She felt a wave of relief knowing that Shen Luobai wouldn’t have to stress about her health every day and could spend time with the girl he liked without worries.

“Sister Qiu, it’s time for your medicine.”

“Alright, I’m coming.”

The caregiver they hired for her was super easy to get along with and she took her job seriously.

Qiu Huiyi started to take her medicine without resistance, and over time, her illness became less severe.

Finally, she felt like she wasn’t weighing her son down anymore, which was a huge relief.

After winter break, Wen Tingyu got a job in Yunyang City that was related to her studies.

As she moved to her house, Shen Luobai moved there too, and they began living together.

Wen Bin wasn’t too thrilled when he found out about this.

Wen Tingyu returned home to spend a few days with her dad, and Ren Xin was there to ease the conflict between the father and the daughter.

Wen Bin still couldn’t accept her daughter’s relationship, but he wasn’t as opposed as he used to be, because he noticed the positive changes in Shen Luobai’s life.

“Mr. Wen, you really need to ease up around your daughter. I think he’s a great young man. He’s capable and stands out more than others,” Ren Xin said. She believed that Shen Luobai would be able to give Wen Tingyu a stress-free life in the future. “Those who have skills can rise anywhere, while those who rely solely on family can only go down. If Shen Luobai can improve his life through his own efforts, it shows he’s someone to trust.”

“Ah…” Wen Bin sighed deeply. “You two just know how to drive me crazy!”

Not only his daughter but also his wife was happy with Shen Luobai, so he felt like he was caught in a tough spot. “Whatever, I’m done worrying about them. It’s her choice if she regrets it later!” Wen Bin said, even though deep down, he hoped his daughter wouldn’t have any regrets. He wanted her to be with someone she loved, as long as her life was secure enough for him to relax about it.

After six months of interning, Wen Tingyu was back at school for graduation exams and managed to take her degree. On her last day, her old roommates planned a farewell dinner. “From now on, we’ll all be heading back to our own places. It’s gonna be tough to meet up again.”

“Don’t forget to invite me when you get married!”

“Who’s even getting married first in our dorm?”

“Well, Tingyu’s the only one with a boyfriend, right?”

As they prepared to step into the real world, they were all excited about what was to come. When it was time to leave, one of the roommates, who was a bit of a softie, started crying and laid her head on the table. “I feel like I’ll never see you again.”

Another roommate tried to console her, but after a few words, she ended up in tears too. Wen Tingyu sighed quietly. She had a mix of emotions about the farewell, but crying just didn’t feel right to her. Maybe she was just naturally a bit distant, and there weren’t many people she felt deeply connected to.

As they were about to part ways, Wen Tingyu shot a text to Shen Luobai.
When they headed downstairs, they spotted Shen Luobai hanging out by the restaurant.

“Wow, there’s actually a good-looking guy here…”

“That’s my boyfriend.”

“Whoa… so Tingyu’s legendary boyfriend finally makes an appearance!”

After graduation, they finally got to see the guy Wen Tingyu had been raving about for years.

They had all speculated a lot, thinking he might not be that attractive, but they were totally surprised by how handsome he was!

“You’re such a great couple. Wishing you all the happiness! Don’t forget to send us an invite when you tie the knot.”

Their blessings felt so genuine.

Wen Tingyu, who rarely smiled, nudged Shen Luobai playfully and said, “Did you catch that? Marriage is on the table.”

Shen Luobai grinned, “Just give me two more years, and I’ll make it the best.”
