Absolutely Spoiled - Chapter 66.2

Chapter 66.2 – Shi Yi’s First Life
The exterior of the Yu household was buzzing with energy.
A mountain of red boxes filled with betrothal gifts for marriage proposals was stacked outside their home.
A large crowd gathered to witness the excitement.
“This Yu Mansion is really something!”
“Absolutely! Ever since Miss Yu reached the marriageable age, matchmakers have been lining up at their door!”
In Yuncheng, the Yu family was the wealthiest, and they had only one daughter. She was the apple of their eye. It was said that the young miss was breathtakingly beautiful.
Now that she had reached the marriageable age, suitors came daily with increasingly lavish gifts.
After all, whoever would win her heart would gain a fortune far beyond the value of the gifts.
Outside, people were competing fiercely, but no one could get in. Little did they know that Miss Yu wasn’t interested in any of them.
The master of the Yu mansion, Mr Yu, a man who enjoyed the finer things in life, had a household filled with servants and skilled guards. He was a clever guy and selected the best among them.
The group of servants and guards had to go through training sessions daily to keep their abilities and skills.
After returning from practice, the second brother grumbled, “You’re drenched in sweat and smell terrible. Go clean up before you see the eldest brother.”
“Big Brother has people to look after him, so why do I need to?” The third brother splashed water on his face and remarked.
The fourth brother clicked his tongue and replied, “I don’t get what’s up with big brother. He never complained when he broke a bone before, but now he’s been stuck in bed for two weeks after hurting his arm.”
Two weeks ago, their sister-in-law took the young lady to the temple to burn incense, but they ran into robbers on the way. To protect the young lady, the eldest brother got hurt.
The Yu family only had one daughter, and after Shi Yi saved her, everything changed.
Mr Yu set him up in a separate room and called a doctor to treat his wounds. Most importantly, the delicate young lady came to visit him personally.
The maid followed the young lady with a food box, saying, “Miss, there are plenty of ways to thank your benefactor; you don’t have to come every day.”
“Shh,” Yu Zhiyi said, signalling the maid to be quiet. She knocked on the door, but no one answered. Yu Zhiyi was confused. ‘Where could the injured person be if he wasn’t resting in his room?’
While she was thinking, she heard a noise coming from the backyard. Following the sound, she spotted a young man in blue wielding a sword. His agile movements send leaves swirling around him.
Yu Zhiyi’s eyes sparkled as she took in the sight of the gallant young man.
The guy’s name was Shi Yi, who was the head of the guard. He was around her age and had some serious martial arts skills.
Suddenly, a sword flashed and came dangerously close to her. Yu Zhiyi’s eyes widened in fear, leaving her speechless. It felt like she was stepping into hell.
The maid next to her was even more dramatic; she dropped the food box she was holding, and the tasty cakes scattered everywhere. She was trembling all over, swaying a bit before collapsing with a thud.
With a swift motion, the sword was sheathed. The young man in blue bowed and said, “Your subordinate was out of line; I hope you can forgive me, miss.”
“It’s fine…” she replied.
The young lady had been raised with so much care and had never witnessed anything this dangerous, making her face go pale. When she finally snapped back to reality, she was shocked to see her maid lying on the floor.
She quickly called for other servants to carry the maid back to her room and asked someone to fetch a doctor.
The young man stood quietly behind Yu Zhiyi, listening intently to her gentle instructions. Once everyone had left, he quietly remarked, “Miss, you have such a kind heart.”
Unlike other servants, he didn’t intentionally act submissive around her, which made Yu Zhiyi feel more comfortable. After recalling what happened, she cautiously asked, “Are you feeling better now?”
The young man towered over her but didn’t stoop down to reply. Instead, he lowered his head and said, “Thanks for your concern, Miss. I’m alright now.”
She frowned slightly and advised, “You should take care of yourself to avoid getting sick.”
He moved his fingers a bit, lightly touching the sword’s tassel, and looked down. “Miss, are you this kind to everyone?”
He had only hurt his arm while rescuing her, so she had asked her father to give him a separate place to recover, hired a doctor for him, and even brought him meals herself. This wasn’t how a guard was typically treated.
Yu Zhiyi smiled and said, “It’s really no big deal.”
The boy had a lot on his mind.
Her teacher had taught her to be kind, and she felt her actions were nothing special. “Why didn’t you help Lu Yin up earlier?”
Lu Yin was the maid. Since Lu Yin was completely unconscious, Yu Zhiyi couldn’t assist her, but Shi Yi also seemed indifferent.
Even though he called for help, he let Lu Yin lie on the ground for quite a while. When Yu Zhiyi asked why, he simply replied, “Men and women shouldn’t touch each other.”
It would have been fine if he hadn’t brought it up, but once he did, the little girl beside him blushed.
Half a month ago, he hugged her.
She still recalled that strong chest radiating warmth.
She looked at him, and their eyes locked.
Yu Zhiyi’s expression turned slightly annoyed as she said hurriedly, “The cakes I just brought you aren’t good; I’ll have the kitchen send another box.” Her puzzled gaze landed on the sword tassel before she quickly looked away.
Noticing her small figure stumble, the young man couldn’t help but smirk.

The brothers came to check on him and asked about his recovery.
“Brother, are you really that hurt this time? It’s been over ten days.”
“Big Brother, some people say you are useless. The third brother and I took care of them, and they quickly learnt their lesson!”
“I still can’t figure out how, with your skills, you got hurt by thieves?”
They respected Shi Yi’s abilities, accepting him as their leader despite his younger age.
Logically, he shouldn’t have been injured, yet here he was.
“I’m just a normal person, and I can make mistakes too,” Shi Yi replied calmly, showing no concern over doubts about his skills.
Others didn’t see through his thoughts.
Have a nice day!
