I Gave Birth to a Cub without Telling the Head Assistant - Chapter 23.1

Chapter 23.1
No matter how bold Ruan Longling was, she always dared notoffend the government, and she had a positive relationship with the government officials.
She would undoubtedly hide as far away as possible and not dare to partake in the fun if she saw the officials apprehend a wanted criminal.
However, Wang Chulin was the man they were looking for today! As the father of her future son, she had to think about him.
Naturally, Ruan Longling was a skilled businesswoman and understood the most crucial factors.
She wouldn’t jeopardise her life and the lives of the entire Ruan family for a man she had known for less than six weeks, even if she wanted a father for her boy.
Ruan Longling had already deduced it in her heart in an instant. And most importantly, she didn’t know what Wang Chulin did to deserve such a bloody disaster.
‘But he is the most favourite student of Lord Zhou after all! If anything happens to him, Lord Zhou will never just let it go! So even if I help him wrongly, Lord Zhou would definitely protect me.’
Merchants always valued profit.
Ruan Longling, after considering the advantages and disadvantages, stated, “Brother Chulin, I am seducing you…”
They were very close: Ruan Longling sitting on the man’s knees with her arms around his neck, and their breathing entwined.
She took a deep breath, pushed aside her shyness, and gazed at the attractive, sharp-edged face in front of her.
She leaned over and kissed the man’s thin lips.
‘I hope I didn’t make the wrong bet!’
In front of a wooden barricade on a broad gravel road, a number of stout, fierce-looking officials pulled the pointed swords at the waists of the passing carriages, halted them, and raised the curtains of each to examine them individually.
“Bang, bang, bang!”
The officials slapped the cart vigorously, and along with it came angry and impatient voices.
“Behave yourself inside! If you want to pass, lift up the curtains so we can check!”
“Whoever dares to harbour the thief will lose their heads!”
The carriage with the wooden sign “Ruan” finally went slowly in front of the wooden stake after the carriages passed by one after the other.
The horse’s hooves came to a halt when the driver gave a “whoosh” and tightened the reins.
The officers were growing irritated after looking for over an hour without finding anything.
One official went near the carriage window, and using his sword, he lifted the curtain and peered inside.
A faint fragrance first emanated from the carriage, and an erotic scene inside gradually became visible to the public.
‘There is a pair of wild Mandarin ducks in the carriage!’
[Tl:- Mandarin ducks are said to be lifelong partners in traditional Chinese culture. As a result, they are commonly seen in Chinese art and literature and are considered a sign of marital devotion and affection.]
The woman seated on the man’s knees was slender, with her black hair wrapped around her body and her clothes half undressed, exposing a small portion of her snow-white back. Her slimness made her appear especially elegant and alluring.
She seemed unable to wait even a moment, and while moving closer to the man enthusiastically and actively, she even pulled the man’s hand and pressed it on her slender waist!
The official, who saw the unexpected scene inside the carriage, was shocked. He just stared at the woman’s back with his eyes wide open, not caring about the man who was blocked by the woman’s body.
The woman appeared to hear the sound at this point. She halted, turned her head slightly, and half of her lovely face showed. Her breathing was fast, her cheeks were hot, and she spoke in a lovely but dissatisfied tone. “Sir, have you seen enough? Would you like to come in and make another check?”
Those tender and charming words made the official’s body soften. If it weren’t for the important matters and the pressure from his superiors, he would have wanted to take this woman away!
With an apologetic smile, Ah Xing then came forward and handed him a pretty large sachet, explaining, “My master and his wife have just gotten back together after being apart for six months. Sir, I apologise for making you laugh.”
The official was stuffed with money, and only then did he reluctantly withdraw his gaze, put away the blade, and let the curtain fall down again.
“Stop it and get out of here!” He just waved his hand and said it in a bad tone.
The wooden barrier was removed, and the soldiers in armour retreated to both sides one by one, making way for the carriage to pass slowly.
The official felt hollow on the inside as he watched the carriage vanish. He couldn’t resist inhaling the rich fragrance left by the woman.
Just then a coworker shouted from a distance, “Have you observed anything odd? Look! The ground is covered in blood.”
The official seemed to realise something and felt a headache.
Have a nice day!
