Shen family’s female relatives arrived one after another.

Seeing Shen Qingqing, Zhao Ji’s heart skipped a beat.

Zhao Ji was very familiar with Shen Jiarong and Shen Jiayi, so he didn’t have any special feelings for his two cousins. However, he hadn’t seen his little cousin for almost three years, and seeing her now, he couldn’t believe his eyes.

Therefore, Zhao Ji could not stop looking at Shen Qingqing and forgot about everyone else.

Shen Qingqing felt like someone was watching her; she looked up quietly and met Zhao Ji’s beautiful black eyes.

Shen Qingqing hadn’t seen Zhao Ji in a long time. She last saw Zhao Ji when he was just fifteen years old, and he was a little chubby. But Shen Qingqing felt that the mischievous boy, who enjoyed making fun of his sisters, appeared to be different now. The 18-year-old Zhao Ji looked very handsome, and he seemed like a powerful leader.

After only a quick glance, before Shen Qingqing could see clearly, someone quickly moved in front of her and blocked her view.

She was Shen Jiarong.

Shen Qingqing also turned her gaze elsewhere.

Zhao Ji has returned to his normal expression.

The eldest lady in the Shen family led the female members to greet Queen Shen and her son.

Queen Shen smiled and was kind to everyone. She looked at Mrs. Chen and said, “We haven’t seen each other in a long time. It’s really enviable that my brothers and sisters still have the same style.”

Chen bowed and said, “Your Majesty, you are so complimentary.”

Queen Shen moved her head from side to side and then looked at Shen Qingqing, standing behind Mrs. Chen. “Is this Qingqing? She has grown up so fast.”

Chen smiled and said, “Yes, Qingqing, come and show respect to your queen.”

Shen Qingqing stepped forward and greeted Queen Shen with a smile. “Please wish my aunt, the Queen, a happy birthday. I wish my aunt good health and a long life.” The little girl’s voice was soft and sweet.

Queen Shen kept nodding and praising. “Qingqing looks more outstanding than you did when you were young.” She looked at Mrs. Chen and said.

Mrs. Chen said playfully, “Queen, don’t give her too many compliments. This girl likes beautiful things. When she got back to Beijing, she asked her dad if she could buy some new clothes. If you keep encouraging her, I’m worried she will become even more disobedient in the future.”

Shen Qingqing felt embarrassed when her mother talked about her flaws, even though they were true. Just in a few seconds, her face turned red with shame.

In Zhao Ji’s opinion, Shen Qingqing was just like a Begonia flower, and he couldn’t control himself, so he drank slightly cool tea to suppress the burning sensation in his stomach.

At that time, Queen Shen and the eldest lady looked at Zhao Ji, and they were relieved to see that he was not attracted by Shen Qingqing’s beauty.

Shen Jiarong kept staring at Zhao Ji when she came into the palace, and she quietly squeezed her hands. She thought it happened because her mother wouldn’t let her wear nice clothes, so Shen Qingqing stole the spotlight. Thinking about that, she became frustrated.

After greeting, the women in the Shen family gave birthday presents one by one.
