Shen Qingqing expressed her desire to get married, and Li Zhi invited a matchmaker to come and talk about the wedding date.

However, there was a queen and an important court member from the Shen family, so the matchmaker swallowed her complaints and went to the Li family in panic.

The matchmaker tried to talk gently and reassure Li Zhi because she thought that Li Zhi would become furious hearing the Shen family’s words.

“That’s okay. Seventh girl is not very old. She has two years to bloom. She can extend the Marquis’ branches after she gets married,” Li Zhi said.

Thinking about their future children, Li Zhi grinned while stroking the armrests of the chair with his slender fingers. “Okay, everything will be done according to the Shen family’s wishes.” Li Zhi said warmly.

The matchmaker was moved to compliment Marqus Pingxi after hearing this, stating that Li Zhi truly lived up to his reputation and was tolerant and open-minded.

Shen Tingwen and his wife were also surprised to learn that Li Zhi was so easy to talk to.

“Qingqing, it’s really rare for someone of his age to be willing to wait for you for at least two years.” Mrs. Chen was talking to her daughter and peeling a pomegranate in the cool fall weather.

After eating the pomegranate that her mother had peeled, Shen Qingqing muttered, “Who cares about it?”

Mrs. Chen looked at her daughter’s little red mouth and sighed helplessly. ‘My daughter was clearly still a child.’

“Now that you are going to marry Qingqing, consider how to be a caring partner for Li Zhi. If not, you’ll be upset all the time. How is your mother able to relax?” Concerned, Mrs. Chen placed several pomegranates on her daughter’s plate.

Upon hearing her daughter’s arrogant words, Mrs. Chen gave the girl a reprimand. “What I want is for you and your husband to treat each other with respect and be in love.”

With no intention of continuing the conversation, Shen Qingqing stated curtly, “If you can love each other, just wait and see.”

Li Zhi was quite skilled at acting the part of a son-in-law. So after the marriage, when they returned to her parents’ home, she pretended to be in love with Li Zhi, just to show her parents. Shen Qingqing thought carefully.
