Chapter 10.3

Yu Hongdou sighed. She wanted to cover up her relationship with the police department, but under Peter Wang’s and He Yunqin’s hawk-like eyes, she had to reveal the truth. She looked at both gentlemen helplessly and said, “My brother is a police officer who has joined in this case. I accidentally learned about this, and I am afraid that my cousin’s case is also linked to this.”

Peter Wang: “It turns out that going around is still inseparable from the gang of gangsters in the police station.” He stood up suddenly and said, “Miss Yu, this is the end of our conversation. Yu Hongdou squinted her eyes but still battled unsuccessfully and said, “Inspector Wang, on the day of the tea party, I listened to you say it yourself; you said that our school’s school witticism, “Light and Truth,” is your long-lasting interest. Now at least three young women have been involved in mysterious kidnapping cases, and one of them lost her life because of it. Peter Wang sneered twice in his throat, “It’s not a big deal. I’ll meet one next time. There are a lot of intelligent university students in Shanghai. So it’s not a big deal anyway.”

“Hmm… But what she says is the truth. Bureaucrats are hateful, but human life is innocent. The kidnapping case really involves human life; according to the work efficiency of the police department, when they find someone, it will be too late.”

He Yunqin tossed the daily paper back and said in a comfortable tone, “You must not care.”

“Definitely not!”

He Yunqin stood up and strolled out the entryway.

Peter Wang gazed at his back with curiosity. “Leave now? Wait, don’t let me know that you just need to meddle in this matter.” Thinking of Yu Hongdou’s departure not long ago, he became more determined. “Are you going to chase that Yu Hongdou?”
