Chapter 11.2

Yu Hongdou started to feel increasingly unsure and lost. He Yunqin was different from people who make impulsive decisions. He didn’t go looking for trouble, and he had his own ways of solving cases and finding people. It is not difficult for someone with power and money. She wondered why He Yunqin was eager to help her.

She suddenly recalled the moment when He Yunqin glanced at the door of the tailor’s shop downstairs that night. She hadn’t seen him searching for Miss Qiu recently. ‘Did he come to find out what happened instead of wanting to be in a relationship with Miss Qiu that night?’

After a little hesitation, she decided to clear her doubts. “Has Mr. He investigated this case before?”

He Yunqin ignored her question, turned his head, looked ahead, and asked, “Where does your family live?”

“Mr. He, if you don’t tell me the real reason behind your motives, I won’t take you to meet my brother,” Yu Hongdou stubbornly said after pondering for a moment.

He Yunqin looked at the angry young girl and studied her for a moment. Under the sun, her face looked tanned, and her lips were far less rosy than the last time he saw her. In order to show that she would never give up easily, there was no smile on her small face.

“Miss Yu, I assure you that no matter what the purpose of my meddling in this matter is, I will do my best to help you find your cousin. Yu Hongdou was surprised by the sudden words. ‘Did he ask me to sit in his bicycle’s backseat?’

He said this to emphasise that he had no interest in her personally, and she really didn’t need to worry too much.

Yu Hongdou was excited by this remark, looked from both sides, expecting to bump into no acquaintances, jumped into the back seat, and said, “Let’s go.”

In her heart, she secretly regarded He Yunqin as a horse, and as a knight, she would swing the whip to drive the horse to serve her. She was feeling a cruel happiness while imagining such a scene and suddenly woke up from her thoughts, feeling a dull pain under her buttocks.

She groaned and pushed his back, shouting, “Stop, stop.”

He Yunqin had to stop the bicycle after being pushed by her like this, and he turned his head to see what had happened. “What’s wrong?”
