She looked mad, and her face turned red.

He Yunqin noticed that her eyebrows were raised and she felt like laughing, but he knew it was not the right time to laugh because it would make things worse. Since it looked like she didn’t hurt her skin and she only ripped her pants, he told Miss Yu to wait there while he figured something out.

Yu Hongdou struggled to speak and finally said, “I wish Mr. Wang could help us.”

He Yunqin went away for a while, returned, and told Yu Hongdou to stay for a while. “A car will arrive to take Miss Yu soon.”

Yu Hongdou wanted to disagree, but she couldn’t move because she scratched her trousers, and people might laugh at her a lot if she took the tram. After considering it, the only way she could think of was to wait for the car that was arranged by He Yunqin.

She made a snorting sound, and her face looked pale, which meant she was still mad.

He Yunqin pulled out a cigarette and lit it up. He looked at Yu Hongdou and was worried that the smoke would harm her, so he went away and smoked alone.

Yu Hongdou waited for a while, but the car didn’t come. She looked at He Yunqin and saw that he had a cigarette in his mouth and was staring at the ground, looking like he was thinking about something.

Feeling her gaze on him, He Yunqin looked at her and asked, “How long has Miss Yu’s brother been a policeman?”

She answered, “Three years.”

“Hmm”

“Mr. He, why hasn’t your car arrived yet?” Before she could finish talking, a foreign car honked as it entered the alley.

Yu Hongdou felt relief, holding onto the torn part of her pants, and walked closely behind He Yunqin.

There was a black foreign car parked at the entrance of the alley, and the family’s driver
greeted He Yunqin, “Second Young Master,” when he saw him.

He Yunqin told the driver the address and told him to take Yu Hongdou there.

He then guided Yu Hongdou to the back seat and pointed the bag at the seat. “Miss Yu, there are some clothes in that bag; you can use them to cover up the holes in the pant. I can’t go to the store right now, so I asked someone to send me some clothes from home, and then I will buy the same colour clothes for Miss Yu another day.”

He was scared that the coachman might have misunderstood, so he only talked about the clothes and not the pants.

Yu Hongdou happily said, “My mom is making my clothes for me. You can’t find the same colour in stores.”

He Yunqin didn’t react much when he heard this. “Then I’ll go buy the same stuff to make up for Miss Yu. You can relax.”
