Chapter 9.1

“You can come. But if I’m here, you can’t come,” He Yunqin replied.

Those words sounded like an insult to Lu Jingheng. “He Ynuqin, don’t believe you’re amazing. I will stay here today. What are you able to do to me?”

He then flashed a smudged smile and placed his hand boldly on Yu Hongdou’s shoulder. But unfortunately, his hand was forcefully slapped away by Yu Hongdou.

Seeing that, He Yunqin looked down and smiled. Then he looked back up at Lu Jingheng and said, “Lu Jingheng, take your time to think about my suggestion for a minute. I easily get angry. I believe you have more knowledge about this than anyone else here.”

Those words had a strong impact on Lu Jingheng. He became visibly affected and couldn’t hide his indifference anymore. He was looking directly at He Yunqin, and his jaw became more and more tense.

At that moment, someone suddenly burst into laughter and said, “I apologise for missing this fun tea party.”

Yu Hongdou turned around and saw a middle-aged man who seemed affluent, dressed in new clothes.

This person hadn’t been in the hall before but suddenly appeared, probably because someone saw Lu Jingheng making a scene and sent him in.

The man smiled at He Yunqin and said, “Dr. He, it’s unusual for you to give a speech here. I would like to listen, but I can’t because it is the end of the month. I have to check the warehouse with a few workers. I am so busy that I don’t even have time to drink tea. I’ll have to wait for another chance. It seems like you were talking about something interesting; why did you suddenly stop? Our Xinya Tea Room cares about how our guests feel. Don’t let other things bother you.”

After that, he held his hands together and said sorry, then hurriedly went over to Lu Jingheng and quietly said a few things.

After that, Lu Jingheng got up, looked at Yu Hongdou again, smiled inexplicably, put his hands in his trouser pockets, and left with the man.

Qin Xuekai joined their team because he was worried that Lu Jingheng would bother Yu Hongdou again.

When the group left the tea room, Qin Xuekai remembered Peter Wang and asked Yu Hong Dou, “Hongdou, are you truly planning to find Detective Wang?”

In front of the students, Yu Hongdou didn’t want to say that her brother was investigating Chen Baidie, so she didn’t reply.

Gu Yun said it casually. “Why not? There are many interesting stories about him. Just listening to his stories will be very entertaining.” Then Gu Yun added sadly. “It’s unfortunate that Inspector Wang only agrees with one person. Otherwise, we can listen together. Hey, I noticed a shop selling baked yams on our way here. How did it vanish?”

Suddenly, a foreign car approached them, and it stopped slowly, and someone looked at them with an open window. “Sister Yu.”

Hearing her name, Yu Hongdou turned her head to see that it was He Zhuyun, and He Yunqin was sitting next to her.

He Zhuyun put her hand on the window sill and asked, “Sister Yu, where do you live? That Mr. Lu was so courageous just now, so can we give you a ride?”

“My house is nearby. I have many classmates going with me, so there’s no need to worry or cause trouble,” she said politely.

He Zhuyun took a look around and saw it was true. There were about twelve classmates with Yu Hongdou. So she nodded and smiled, saying, “Seniors, please be safe on the road. See you on Monday. ”

The car vanished in the darkness, and they stepped forward to go home.

After climbing half of the staircase, Yu Hongdou heard someone hurriedly climbing up the stairs.

She stopped her steps and listened to the sound for a little while, then raised her hand to turn on the porch light and called out, “Brother. ”

The man said “Red beans”. It was Yu Chongyi.
