The sound of a familiar man’s voice caused Su Yan to stop suddenly and hold her breath briefly. She looked back in surprise, her eyes scanned the crowd, and she locked eyes with Xie Yu.

This was the first time she saw Xie Yu since their wedding day a few months ago.

Today, he was wearing a dark grey suit. He had a black tie in front of a white shirt. The warm yellow light made his cheeks glow. It showed off his good-looking face and sharp features. He was very excited, and it showed in his eyes.

Feeling very excited, breathing fast…

He was scared to visit her or see her because he felt embarrassed and didn’t feel confident enough to meet her in person.

However, he truly longed for her presence.

Xie Yu couldn’t control his strong desire any longer, so he forcefully pushed through the crowd and ran towards her like a crazy person.

Su Yan stopped suddenly and looked at Xie Yu with a shocked expression on her face.

The sound of “Su Yan” was deep and cold, just like a rough piece of jade, and it was very similar to the voice Xie Yu had heard through the phone that day.

He would always remember that phone call and the man’s voice for the rest of his life.

He started searching for where the noise was coming from, like an eagle sensing something dangerous. Then, as soon as he raised his head, he saw a person with dark, intense eyes.

These eyes appeared to be covered with a layer of ice, which felt very heavy and scary.

Xie Yu looked very surprised once again: ‘Bai Xingfan?’

He was acquainted with Bai Xingfan, but they were not close, and they never even talked to each other. He only saw him while attending a few dinner parties.

‘Was he that man? Have I ever offended him?’

Xie Yu couldn’t determine anything just by hearing the voice, but Bai Xingfan’s voice sounded so much like that man’s voice that he couldn’t help but feel doubtful.

Su Yan heard Bai Xingfan’s voice and quickly looked behind her. She saw that his car was parked in front of her.

Bai Xingfan stood by the car door that was partially open and stared at her without any expression on his face. “Get in the car.”

His face was a little gloomy, but Su Yan didn’t dare to resist and got into the car obediently.

Yao Anan felt that something was not right in the air. So she decided to prioritise her own well-being and quickly went to find her own car at the back.

When Bai Xingfan closed the car door, it made Su Yan’s heart shake. Su Yan could tell that Bai Xingfan was already angry based on how hard he closed the door.

Su Yan looked up and saw someone sitting next to her. She paused for a moment and said, “I didn’t think he would be here.”

Bai Xingfan didn’t say anything. He was looking straight ahead with a cold expression, his thin lips pressed together in a straight line.

‘Hey, watch out. You are really a vinegar bottle.’ Su Yan was unsure and looked reluctantly at the car behind her. To her surprise, she saw that Xie Yu was looking at her.

Xie Yu stayed in one place by the road, not moving. He had a worried expression on his face, and he kept his eyes on Bai Xingfan’s car.

Su Yan felt frustrated and thought to herself. ‘This person is definitely an enemy, and it seems like there’s no way of avoiding them.’

She didn’t think she would randomly run into Xie Yu here. She didn’t want to ever see him again, if she had a choice.

“Still watching?”

Bai Xingfan sounded unfriendly, which made Su Yan snap out of her thoughts. She quickly looked back at him and quietly asked, “Aren’t you ignoring me?”

‘I want to keep her with me, like in a cage or with restraints, so she will stay obediently by my side.’ He was thinking such thoughts, but he was scared of causing her pain.

He loved her very much and didn’t want to hurt her at all.

Bai Xingfan took a big breath and tried to calm himself down. “Does Miss Su want me to say something?”

Su Yan said, “?”

She had no idea what to say, and after pondering for a while, she finally asked in a timid voice, “Is Mr. Bai jealous?”

Bai Xingfan answered, “Otherwise?”

Su Yan: “.”

Bai Xingfan stared at her without showing any emotions. “Indifferently watching the woman I like flirting with other men?”

The words “the woman I like” made Su Yan’s face turn red, but the words “showing affection” made her a little angry. She said, “I didn’t even flirt with him.”

Bai Xingfan didn’t give a clear answer, but he seemed a bit sad as he said, “You have been staring at him.”

Su Yan felt powerless and asked, “I can’t see him yet?”

Bai Xingfan was very determined and said, “No.”

Su Yan didn’t believe it. “Why? Can you see him doing something illegal?”

Bai Xingfan stayed quiet for a short time and then said, “Instead of breaking the law, he harmed me instead.”

Su Yan was surprised and asked, “What?”

Bai Xingfan looked very serious and said, “I will feel envious on your behalf.”

Su Yan suddenly felt her heart shake, as if someone were gently playing with a feather.

The sensation of tingling, numbness, and a feeling of spreading quickly down the centre of the heart and taking over the entire heart powerfully Her breathing started to get messy again, her sanity started to go crazy, and her emotions tried to go out of control. She felt a warning in her mind about danger, so she tried really hard not to look at him. She bit her teeth together and turned her face towards the car window.

It was very dark outside the window. Only the lights on the side of the road were bright.

Su Yan tried really hard to stop thinking about other things and just look at the view outside the window at night. But it didn’t really work, and she couldn’t stop thinking about him.

The car was very quiet inside, and there were barriers that separated the front and back seats, creating a private space for each section.

Bai Xingfan’s voice suddenly spoke in the car, sounding calm and soft. “Yan Yan…”

This was the first time he used her nickname while talking to her.

Su Yan’s heart suddenly raced with both desire and fear.

He looked at her profile face affectionately and earnestly. “Will you be my girlfriend?”
