Chapter 37.3 – Dating

Su Yan ran towards the car parked on the side of the road and tapped the rear window lightly.

However, to her surprise, the driver’s window opened, revealing Bai Xingfan’s face.

It seemed he had just finished work because he was still wearing a light grey suit with a platinum watch on his left wrist.

Su Yan was a little surprised. “Do you know how to drive?”

Every time she saw him in the car, there was a driver, so she thought he couldn’t drive.

Bai Xingfan couldn’t help but laugh. “Of course.”

Su Yan wondered. “Why didn’t you use a driver this time?”

Bai Xingfan: “How can we date if there are outsiders?”

Su Yan felt that what he said was very reasonable. Who knew Bai Xingfan’s next sentence turned out to be: “Miss Su is so easy to be shy; it is better not to have a third party.”

Su Yan said angrily, “I don’t!”

Bai Xingfan bit his lips, smiled, and stopped teasing her. “Get in the car quickly.”

Su Yan made an “oh”, then went around from the front of the car to the co-pilot’s seat. When she opened the car door, she glanced at the Cupid statue in front of the community and saw her parents without any surprise.

Her father was taking a photo of the car licence plate with her mother’s assistant.

Su Yan sighed helplessly, then got into the car.

After she fastened her seat belt, Bai Xingfan slowly stepped off the accelerator.

Before the car had driven ten metres, Su Yan received a WeChat message from her father. “You must come home before eleven o’clock.”

“Got it!” After replying to the message, she put down the phone and sighed again.

Bai Xingfan easily noticed her melancholy and asked, “What’s wrong?”

Su Yan turned her face to look at him and said the truth with a shy face. “I think it’s better that you don’t know.”

Bai Xingfan: “Is it a secret?”

“It’s not a secret…” Su Yan was silent for a moment and finally revealed the truth to him. “It was my parents who had been staring at you at the gate of the community just now and asked me to go home before eleven o’clock.”

Bai Xingfan: “…”

Su Yan clearly saw that his hands holding the steering wheel suddenly tightened, and the knuckles on the back of his fair hands turned white.

She snickered in her heart and asked, pretending to be concerned, “President Bai, you shouldn’t be nervous, right?”

This “President Bai” was very deliberately shouted.

Of course Bai Xingfan could hear her gloating and sighed softly. “I’m a little nervous, but the son-in-law always has to see his in-laws.”

Hearing such unexpected words, Su Yan was ashamed and angry. “Who wants to marry?”

Bai Xingfan held back his smile and asked seriously, “Miss Su, can you tell me what your criteria are for marrying a husband?”

Su Yan looked at Bai Xingfan’s dark and thick short hair, eyes turned slyly, and then said, “I want long hair.” Then she looked at his thick and slender eyebrows and said, “I want light eyebrows.” Moving down along his angular profile, she continued, “Short eyelashes, flat nose, thick lips.”

Bai Xingfan frowned slightly and sighed. “Miss Su’s aesthetic is really different.”

Su Yan snorted arrogantly, “It’s not that easy to be my husband; you have to get into my eyes.”

Bai Xingfan has a smile in his eyes but regrets his tone. “It seems that I don’t fulfil the request.”

Su Yan was also smiling. “You’re far behind!”

Bai Xingfan pondered for a moment before saying, “If it doesn’t work, tell me about the whole body requirements according to Miss Su’s aesthetic requirements.”

Su Yan was shocked. “Don’t!” She added decisively. “I just like the original ecology.”

Bai Xingfan said with emotion, “Miss Su’s requirements are indeed very high.”

Su Yan rolled her eyes. “Of course, it must be considered for the next generation.”

Bai Xingfan said again, “Miss Su is not only demanding but also thinking long-term.”

Su Yan squinted slightly. “Are you mocking me again?”

Bai Xingfan: “I don’t dare.”

“You’re too daring!” Su Yan was annoyed. “You don’t meet any of the four points of being virtuous, so just pass it.”

“If you can’t be a wife, then…” His voice came to an abrupt end.

Su Yan couldn’t help but ask, “So what?”

Bai Xingfan said softly, “I’ll be a husband.”
