Su Yan and Bai Xingfan started dating after confirming their relationship.

Su Yan had to take video calls with someone bossy every day and see him once a week. But they only managed to meet twice a week because the other person was really busy with work.

In the middle of December, Bai Xingfan was going to Xifu for a work trip that would last for two weeks. Su Yan felt upset when she heard the news because she couldn’t spend Christmas with him and they couldn’t see each other for two weeks.

But instead of getting upset, she was happy and made a joke about it, saying, “I’ll be free in two weeks!”

On Christmas Eve, the other couples went on a date together, but Su Yan went to the gym to work out.

Before she left, she sent Bai Xingfan a message on WeChat. She told him she was going to the gym and would send him a video later in the evening.

If she didn’t have to be at work, she would go to the gym almost every other day and work out for at least three hours each time.

“Mom, I’m going to the gym.”

Liu Xiang said, “Make sure to be safe when you come back tonight.”

Su Yan said, “Okay, bye.”

But then her mom stopped her. “Wait, I want to ask you something.”

Su Yan stopped suddenly and asked, “What’s the matter?”

Liu Xiang asked directly, “Why don’t you go on a date today?”

Su Yan didn’t keep her relationship a secret from her parents, so everyone in the family knew that she was dating Bai Xingfan.

But Su Yan couldn’t respond to her mother’s question, and she felt like her mother looked down on her.

Liu Xiang asked, “Why are you still here when everyone else is going on a date today?”

Su Yan felt helpless, and she said, “He is away on a work trip to Xifu and won’t be back until next week.”

Liu Xiang: “Oh, I thought you two were arguing.”

Su Yan was unsure whether to laugh or cry. “No, we both are fine.”

Liu Xiang felt better and said, “It’s okay. I won’t stop you from loving someone; I’m worried that you will be treated unfairly.”

Su Yan understood that her parents tried really hard, and she said, “He is really nice to me.”

Liu Xiang asked, “Have you been thinking about marriage?”

Su Yan took some time to think and then said honestly, “He thinks; I haven’t thought about it yet.”

Liu Xiang looked worried and asked, “What kind of person are you dealing with? Are you just using people for fun? Shouldn’t you take everything seriously? You’re almost twenty-five and still acting so childishly.”

Su Yan felt like she couldn’t do anything. She said, “I don’t know. I just want to talk to him before I make a decision.” Then, she hesitated and said, “I’m also scared that he’s like Xie Yu.”.

Her previous relationship failed at a big wedding, and it was really hard for her. Now she’s worried about getting married.

Liu Xiang now understands his daughter’s worries. “You’re right to be worried, but not everyone’s the same. The way a person behaves depends on their family. If he wants you to meet his parents and they are nice to you, then you can think about moving forward in the relationship. If you’re still worried, what about me and your dad? We will make sure you’re taken care of, no matter what others say.” She added, “Love is not a children’s play. You can’t let the ideas from the last paragraph affect the new one. You need to focus on one thing at a time in everything you do.”

Su Yan carefully listened to her mother and then told her that she liked the person she was with now, and it was not just for fun or anything else.

Liu Xiang didn’t say anything else; she just said, “Okay, go to the gym and come back early.”

“Okay, mom, I’m going; goodbye.”

After Su Yan put on her coat, she went outside with her gym bag.
