The dress designer has a studio in a fancy office building, and the driver parked the car in the underground parking lot of the building.

When Su Yan got out of the car, she saw two big men in black casual clothes not far behind the black Rolls-Royce.

Bai Xingfan hired bodyguards to protect her.

A few days ago, Dongfu Express shared a story about a girl who lived by herself being murdered in the home she was renting. It was later confirmed that the person who killed the girl was her ex-boyfriend.

This news made a lot of people talk about it, and it also warned girls who live by themselves, especially those who have ex-boyfriends.

Even though Su Yan used to date someone else before, she was not living by herself. And Xie Yu was not a creepy ex-boyfriend with a mean personality either, so she didn’t need to be scared. But Bai Xingfan was concerned and wanted to hire two bodyguards to protect her.

 It gave a sense of security with those two strong men, but at the same time, Su Yan felt it was not comfortable having people look at you all the time.

She talked to Bai Xingfan and tried to get him to take away the bodyguards, but he was very stubborn and wouldn’t change his mind at all.

At first, she thought he was doing it for no reason, but two days ago, when her mom went to buy vegetables, she saw Xie Yu at the entrance of the neighbourhood. If the bodyguard hadn’t acted fast, Xie Yu would have run to her mother.

That incident scared Su Yan’s mother, and she became really angry. When she got home, she kept shouting and saying that she would have hit Xie Yu hard if the bodyguards hadn’t covered his mouth.

Su Yan was also scared and appreciated Bai Xingfan for being smart enough to see the dangers ahead. If he hadn’t, the results would have been really bad.

Since that day, she has gotten used to having bodyguards around and has been trying hard not to pay attention to them.

After she closed the car door, she walked around to Bai Xingfan’s side, took his hand, and walked together to the elevator.

The elevator arrived fast, and there was no one inside.

Su Yan and Bai Xingfan went into the elevator first, and then the two bodyguards followed them.

“The sixteenth floor.”

As per Bai Xingfan’s instructions, one bodyguard pushed a button to go to the sixteenth floor.

The elevator door started to close, but just before it shut, someone’s hands pushed the doors open. At the same time, Su Yan could hear Xie Yu crying loudly. “Yanyan, please don’t marry him. Bai Xingfan is a really bad person. He threatened me with my dad’s life to make me leave you. He ruined our wedding.”

Su Yan stood still and couldn’t move like she was struck by lightning. She didn’t understand what the other person was saying.

“I will take you with me.” Xie Yu tried to quickly get into the elevator to reach her, but the two bodyguards stopped him. Before he got in the elevator, the two bodyguards quickly came out and were very harsh. He was pulled away, and a bodyguard covered his mouth. No matter how much Xie Yu tried, he couldn’t escape them, like a weak rabbit unable to get away from a fox.

Suddenly, Su Yan couldn’t think properly, and her mind was all over the place.

After Xie Yu was taken, the elevator’s door closed by itself.

Su Yan was rigid and slowly turned her neck to look at the man in shock.

‘Is it true? Did Bai Xingfan ruin my wedding?’

‘Did he watch me get embarrassed and laugh at others? And then act like he cared about me, but really he was just playing with my feelings and pretending to be nice?’

‘So, were all the things that happened by chance and his good thoughts actually his plans?’

‘Is my fiancé very scary?’

With just the two of them in a small space, Su Yan got scared and felt really afraid. She wanted to leave the man beside her right away.

She was scared of him.
