Su Yan finished preparing the meal twenty minutes later, and the chubby aunt came to the living room and called Bai Xinglan to have dinner.

Bai Xinglan quickly sent a message to Su Zhan and then went to the dining room without any delay.

While he was eating, he saw that his sister-in-law’s eyes were a little red, indicating that she seemed to have been crying in the kitchen.

‘My brother is too much. How many days have they been married? But he really left his wife alone at home. I don’t know how sad she is.’

Su Zhan was also scared and kept sending messages to Bai Xinglan every day to check on his sister.

After three long days, finally, it was Wednesday.

At five o’clock in the afternoon, Su Zhan went to Dongfu International Airport according to the good news that Bai Xinglan had inquired about in advance. 

The plane arrived a bit behind schedule, and he didn’t see Bai Xingfan in the crowd until six o’clock. 

After waiting for a long time, he saw Bai Xingfan in the crowd, with a male assistant in a black suit by his side.

Bai Xingfan was wearing a light brown suit with a black shirt and a blue tie. A blue handkerchief with the same high-quality thread was sticking out of the pocket on the left side of the chest. He was carrying a black briefcase, wearing a watch, and wearing a wedding ring.

When Su Zhan saw Bai Xingfan, he immediately recognised him because he stood out from everyone else. Su Zhan enthusiastically waved his arms and shouted, “Brother-in-law.” 

Bai Xingfan heard a familiar voice, looked around a little surprised, and finally spotted his brother-in-law.

After they left the airport, Bai Xingfan asked Su Zhan, “Why are you here?”

Su Zhan said what was planned with Bai Xinglan before. “My sister told me to come pick you up.”

Bai Xingfan was surprised for a moment, then looked directly at Su Zhan and asked, “Is that true?”

Su Zhan kept a serious expression and nodded his head. “Yes,” he said.

Bai Xingfan didn’t talk anymore, but his eyes showed warmth despite the cold.

Su Zhan pretended to urge again. “Brother-in-law, let’s go home quickly; my sister has been waiting for a long time.”

Bai Xingfan replied kindly, “Sure.”

Forty minutes later, the driver took them back to the mansion.

When they entered the house, Su Zhan shouted, “My sister, my brother-in-law is back.” 

Su Yan was cooking in the kitchen and couldn’t hear well, but Bai Xinglan heard it loud and clear. He walked quickly from the living room to the kitchen, trying to be a messenger. “Sister-in-law, my brother is home.”

Hearing Bai Xinglan’s unexpected words, Su Yan’s body suddenly stopped moving, and her hand holding the spatula stopped too.

Bai Xinglan stopped talking, went from the kitchen to the living room, and asked his brother if he was hungry. He said that the meal would be served soon, and his sister-in-law was cooking for him.

Bai Xingfan made a quick, simple reply and then grabbed his suitcase and walked to the indoor elevator.

After the elevator door closed, Su Zhan worriedly asked, “Is my brother-in-law still mad?”

Bai Xinglan replied, “Why can’t you see that he is very happy?”

Su Zhan spoke honestly, saying, “I didn’t really see it. He always seemed to have a stern face.”

Bai Xinglan said, “He’s not saying much, but if he loosens up, he will smile really big.”

Su Zhan said, “…”
