Chapter 52.2 – Gambling

In the blink of an eye, several black cars stopped in front of the Xie family’s tombstone.

The black Rolls Royce she was familiar with was parked in the centre.

Su Yan was frozen in place. She felt suffocated as if a pair of invisible hands were restraining her neck.

The driver of the black Rolls Royce stepped from the car holding a black umbrella, walked quickly to the rear side, and opened the door for the co-pilot.

The man in the dark grey suit got out of the car without haste.

His handsome face was covered with an extremely gloomy cloud, and his eyes looked dark and deep, revealing a strong sense of oppression, which was daunting.

The rain was falling like a white curtain, blurring everything, but Su Yan could still clearly feel his cold gaze.

Four black Maybachs were parked on either side of the Rolls-Royce, and several well-trained bodyguards in black uniforms got out of the cars.

Seeing the scene she had only seen in movies, Su Yan’s whole body began to shake with fear.

“Are you afraid of him?” Xie Yu’s voice suddenly sounded in her ear. “Didn’t you say he would change for you and your child?” 

Su Yan understood Xie Yu’s intention.

He was using her against Bai Xingfan. He would fight against Bai Xingfan without giving her a single thought.

He would rather fight to the death than believe that she would win.

But she didn’t think she would lose.

She believed that Bai Xingfan would change for the sake of the child.

Taking a deep breath, Su Yan held the black umbrella tightly and walked towards Bai Xingfan step by step, as if she were walking on eggshells.

Bai Xingfan stood under the black umbrella, staring at her intently.

Su Yan walked up to him and tried her best to remain calm. “Let’s go home,” she said.

“Why did you come here with him?” Bai Xingfan asked with a low voice. His closed expression on his face didn’t change.

Su Yan looked at him with a begging expression with her watery eyes and muttered, “I want to go back to my home.”

Bai Xingfan was struggling to contain his anger. “Why didn’t you listen to me? Why did you come to see him?” Despite being extremely angry, his voice sounded calm. ‘Su Yan… I care for you, pet you, and give you whatever you want. But still, you think about Xi Yu. Do you care a lot about him? You have my baby, but still, you want him.’

A sudden bolt of lightning lit up the dark sky, and Bai Xingfan looked gloomy.

The feeling of not being in control made him lose his sanity completely.

‘I won’t let anyone take you from me.’ He touched Su Yan’s cheek gently and said, “I own you, but I also own myself. Do you understand?”

He spoke softly, but his eyes were cold and he had a harsh glare.

Su Yan felt very sad suddenly.

‘Xie Yu is correct… He will never change.’

But she didn’t want to believe she was lost. She wanted to protect herself, so she held onto his hands tightly and begged him to take her home.

As she talked, she started to cry, and her voice began to make small, crying sounds on and off.

He could feel her shaking in his hand.

“Sure, we’ll go home,” Bai Xingfan said calmly, “but not right now.”

Su Yan felt something bad was going to happen, and she was really scared. She held her husband’s wrist tightly and pealed, “I want to go home now. Please take me home. I’m really scared.”

She was very afraid.

This was the first time she told him that she was scared.

Bai Xingfan didn’t show any emotion on his face, looked at Xie Yu, and said softly, “Hey, you shouldn’t meet her today, buddy.”

Su Yan felt very, very cold all over her body.

Bai Xingfan looked at the bodyguards and said in a relaxed way, “Make sure to welcome Mr. Xie properly.” 

“No…” Su Yan’s scream echoed in the rain.
