Bodyguards ignored Su Yan’s screams and rushed towards Xie Yu.

“Please… s-stop,” Su Yan screamed, but Bai Xingfan wouldn’t let her go and hugged her tightly. 

He then gripped her chin and made her look at him. “This is what happens when you disobey, cub,” he quietly said in her ear.

Su Yan was not only scared but also very sad. ‘He is using the chickens to frighten the monkeys, just as Xie Yu suggested.’

Xie Yu’s words echoed in her mind.

“He will never change; I’ll risk everything to show you it.”

In the end, Xie Yu won the bet, but she ended up losing for a lifetime.

Su Yan began to feel very sad, and after a few seconds, she started to feel pain in her belly.

The first bodyguard came and hit Xie Yu with a stick, causing him to fall hard to the ground.

Another one joined and started to beat Xie Yu without showing any mercy.

Xie Yu was hit with sticks many times. He felt pain all over his body, and he rolled up into a ball without showing that he was in pain. 

Actually, he was happy because of the victory. 

He was in pain, and blue veins on his forehead were showing up. But he still tried to lift his head and look at Su Yan with a happy smile in his eyes.

‘Hey, I won. I won.

He will not change for you and your children.’

Su Yan was extremely sad and shedding tears nonstop. She begged Bai Xingfan to let Xie Yu go, but she didn’t get any reply.

‘He really wants to hurt Xie Yu. I can’t let this happen.’

Hearing Su Yan beg him for another man, Bai Xingfan began to feel more and more sad. “Are you asking me to give him to you?”

Su Yan had no hope of getting back with Xie Yu. “I will do what you say from now on,” she muttered.

Bai Xingfan was silent, and then he released Su Yan with a sigh, but he didn’t ask the bodyguards to stop.

Xie Yu was seriously injured, and Su Yan was very frightened. 

She cried hard and went on her knees in front of Bai Xingfan. “Please, please let him go.”

Bai Xingfan gave her a mean look with a cold face and dark eyes.

‘She would crouch down in front of me for Xie Yu. Do you really have feelings for him?’ Bai Xingfan closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and then let out a big sigh.

Su Yan continued to beg him, saying, “I’ll use another golden leaf. Please allow him to leave. You said I could ask for any wish using those golden leaves.”

Bai Xingfan suddenly smiled, but there was no smile in his expression, and his tone had no warmth. “Do you love him that much?”

“No, no, I don’t love him… I beg you to let him go.” Su Yan cried and bent over, slumping on her calf. Her fingers gradually loosened his trouser legs and covered her belly tightly.

She felt a sharp pain in her belly, and she looked very pale. She couldn’t breathe properly, and she started to sweat a lot.

After a few seconds, she felt another strong pain in her lower stomach, and she passed out right on the ground.

Only then did Bai Xingfan notice that there was a lot of blood in her white dress. He got scared, picked her up fast, and yelled at the driver to go to the hospital in a panic.
