Chapter 53.2

Last year, the heavy rain hid his true self, and she went home with him feeling silly.

Later, Su Yan found out the truth, but she didn’t stop believing in him.

But the heavy rain yesterday made his disguise disappear, so she could see the real person he was.

Bai Xingfan would never change himself, even for children.

She was very upset with him and didn’t want to see him at all, not even for a moment.

Maybe she would never be able to forgive him in her lifetime.

But Bai Xingfan didn’t leave Su Yan for a moment.

She stopped eating and drinking, which made her go on a hunger strike.

Because of that, Bai Xingfan was helpless, so he had to pick up the chubby aunt from home and take care of Su Yan.

Two weeks later, Su Yan left the hospital, but her attitude towards him was the same.

She didn’t want to be in the room with him, share the bed, or eat with him.

When he was at home, she stayed in her room and only came out when he was not there.

Bai Xingfan tried to get close to his wife, but as soon as he got closer, Su Yan quickly went away.

Two weeks had passed since Su Yan returned from the hospital, and she hadn’t taken a step out of the mansion. It was not because she couldn’t, but because she didn’t want to.

She thought of isolating herself from the world outside the mansion. She felt that there was a barrier between her and the outside—a cold glass.

She was inside the glass while the elegant world was outside.

She would never be able to leave.

She tried to work but couldn’t write anything, so she just sat in front of the computer all day without doing anything.

She lost the motivation and passion she once had. 

If the chubby aunt didn’t remind her to eat, Su Yan would probably only drink water every day.

However, when she went to the dining room, she felt full after eating only a little bit.

The scariest part was that when she went to sleep at night, she would think about the graveyard on the mountain being hit by heavy rain, Bai Xingfan’s sad face, and her child.

She started to have trouble sleeping at night.

Afterwards, she would frequently go out on the balcony by the bedroom and look at the big Swan Lake for a long time.

Seeing swans flying over the blue water, she wished she could turn into a sawn so she could fly away from this cage. 

She no longer wanted to be a nightingale in a golden cage.

One evening, the chubby aunt called Su Yan for dinner.

Su Yan went downstairs like always and sat at the dining table.

Shortly after, Bai Xingfan entered the dining room.

When she saw him, her heart hurt a lot, and she suddenly remembered the rainy day.

Her child became a pool of blood.

He took the life of their kid.

She didn’t want to see him anymore, so she got off the chair and walked to the door with a sad face.

“Cub…” Bai Xingfan placed his hands on Su Yan’s shoulders and looked at her with pleading eyes. 

Su Yan looked at him with cold eyes and spoke in a cold tone. “Don’t touch me.”

Bai Xingfan let go of his hands reluctantly. “I just want to discuss something with you. It won’t delay you for long. Can you listen to me?”

Su Yan looked down, had a calm expression on her face, and remained silent.

Bai Xingfan looked at her carefully and said, “I made an appointment with a doctor. Shall we go see him together tomorrow?”

He already saw that she was acting very strange, and the chubby aunt also told him the same thing.

He was concerned about her, so he quickly scheduled a visit with the doctor for her.

Su Yan seemed unsure. “I don’t feel ill; why do I need to see a doctor?”

Bai Xingfan said, “You seem tired a lot lately.”

Su Yan realised Bai Xingfan’s thoughts and said annoyingly, “Do you think I have a mental problem?”

“No, I’m concerned about your health,” Bai Xingfan said. He knew she wouldn’t want to go to a psychiatrist, so he came up with a plan to take her to the hospital for a follow-up checkup two weeks after she was discharged.

Su Yan had stopped believing in him and also stopped trusting him. She didn’t believe him at all, and she definitely wasn’t going to do what he asked. “I won’t go.” She said very firmly, “I’m okay.”

Bai Xingfan thought the same thing and calmly said, “You’re probably right, but we should wait for the doctor’s diagnosis to be sure.”

Su Yan squinted her eyes and looked cautious. She asked, “Why do I need to go to the hospital?”

Bai Xingfan: “To a checkup.”

Su Yan’s emotions suddenly became agitated, and she was as frightened as a bird. “Are you trying to lock me up? You want to lock me in a smaller cage?”

“I don’t; I will never lock you up!” Bai Xingfan pressed his hands down, trying to guide her to control her emotions in this way. “I’m just worried about you.”

Su Yan showed no mercy. “I don’t need you to worry.”

Bai Xingfan sighed helplessly. “You are my wife; how could I not worry about you?”

Su Yan looked at him intently. She was silent for a long time and said expressionlessly, “Bai Xingfan, I don’t want to be your wife anymore. Let’s get a divorce.”
