Chapter 68.2 – Extra 2

It was the night before the wedding, and Bai Xingfan sent Su Yan back to her parents’ house. 

As a tradition, the wedding team should go to the bride’s house to pick up the bride tomorrow, so Su Yan needed to stay with her parents.

It was a Saturday, and Bai Xinglan had no plans, so he tagged along with his brother to take his sister-in-law home. 

After dinner, the young couple and the middle-aged couple sat down in the living room to talk while Su Zhan eagerly invited Bai Xinglan to his room to play a game.

After playing a couple of rounds, Su Zhan remarked nonchalantly, “I already have all the Qianqiu series, and suddenly, I feel as though life has lost its meaning.” 

Bai Xinglan felt a pang of jealousy upon hearing this, yet he managed to suppress his feelings and feigned calmness as he inquired, “Lake blue is quite difficult to obtain; where did you find it? How much did you pay?” 

Su Zhan responded with an air of innocence, “I’m not sure; my brother-in-law gave it to me.” 

This unexpected news boiled Bai Xinglan’s blood to its highest level. “My brother gave it to you?” 

Seeing Bai Xinglan’s black face Su Zhan maintained his innocent demeanor, replying, “Yes.” He feigned surprise, adding, “My brother-in-law didn’t give it to you, did he?”

Bai Xinglan: ‘Brother, why did you give it to him without giving me?’

Looking at Bai Xinglan’s expression of resentment, Su Zhan simply got his revenge, and couldn’t be more relieved. ‘Didn’t my sister just buy you a set of Marvel? And didn’t you show off with me for two months?’

As if he was afraid of being angry with the other party, he added “kindly”: “Would you like to see my Qianqiu series?”

Bai Xinglan: “…”

‘Damn it!’

The lightning of hatred exploded in each other’s eyes.

The temporary friendship blossomed during the game turned into hate. 

The more Bai Xinglan thought about it, the more angry he became. He angrily dropped the gamepad and rushed out of the enemy’s room. “Brother! Brother!”

Bai Xingfan was engaged in conversation with his father-in-law when he suddenly frowned upon hearing his younger brother’s shout. 

Su Yan, taken aback, inquired, “What is the matter?” 

Liu Xiang and Su Jianan exchanged glances. 

Bai Xinglan burst into the living room, with tears in his eyes. “Why did you only buy the Qianqiu series for him and not for me? You no longer care for me!” 

Bai Xingfan remained silent. 

Su Yan was equally speechless. 

History tended to repeat itself, and the weariness was palpable. 

Su Yan rose from the sofa, asking, “Did he boast to you again?” 

Bai Xinglan nodded, looking dejected. “Yes!” 

Fuming, Su Yan declared, “I will take care of him!” 

Bai Xingfan grasped his wife’s wrist, attempting to calm her. “The children are merely bickering; there is no need to be so upset.” He then patiently explained to his brother. “I bought him a bear because I want to invite him to be my bestman.” 

Hearing those words, Bai Xinglan retorted. “I’m also your bestman, so why didn’t you buy one for me? Just because I am your brother?” His anger intensified as he continued, “Fine, from now on, I am no longer your brother, and you will not have me as your bestman tomorrow!” 

Su Yan interjected, “What are you saying, child? Your sister-in-law will help you to beat that idiot!” 

Bai Xinglan wiped his tears away and declared, “No, you are not my sister-in-law from this day forward!” 

Su Yan was left speechless. 

As Bai Xingfan prepared to scold him, Bai Xinglan shouted at Su Yan, “Sister! From today, you are my real sister!” He then turned to Bai Xingfan and called him, “Brother-in-law.” 

Bai Xingfan could only respond with silence. 

Su Yan was equally at a loss for words. 

Liu Xiang and Su Jianan shared the same sentiment. 

With a sigh of resignation, Bai Xingfan asked, “What trouble are you causing now?” 

Bai Xinglan ignored him, stating, “Brother-in-law, you can go on your own later. I will not be the bestman tomorrow. I will be my sister’s bridesmaid.”

Bai Xingfan: “…”

Su Yan: “..? ? ? ? ?”
