Yan Yan - Chapter 69.2

Chapter 69.3 – Extra 3
Su house.
By this time, Bai Xinglan had totally won over the sisters, who even handed him the pair of high heels to keep safe.
They tied the heels with a red string around his right leg, and once he put on the Chinese robe, no one could see it.
After securing the shoes, Yao Anan gave Bai Xinglan a reassuring pat on the shoulder, saying, “The sisters are counting on you for this important task. Don’t let us down!”
“Don’t worry, Sister Yao! Even if it costs me my life or I have to jump off a building, I won’t betray the organisation!” Bai Xinglan said it as an oath.
Around ten o’clock, a big group led by Bai Xingfan showed up, and the fight between the best men and the bridesmaids kicked off.
The men repeatedly knocked on the door, offering red envelopes and uttering a variety of sweet phrases, but the door remained closed. So, they had to switch to plan B.
Cheng Jiheng squatted by the door with a bunch of red envelopes, shouting to the people inside while sliding envelopes under the door. “Sister-in-law, the last red envelopes I sent were 520 each, and now I’m sending 999. I even have a bunch of lipstick with me. Do you want to know who is the owner of them? Open the door so I can give them to you.” He kept pushing envelopes through the door crack as he talked. “Sister-in-law, I just sent ten red envelopes. Can you figure out how many lipsticks you are getting? If you don’t open up, I’ll throw them away!”
Right after he finished, a loud argument erupted inside.
Su Yan yelled. “Stop pushing them in! I just want my lipstick! How dare you take my lipstick!”
Yao Anan also shouted. “Don’t listen to her! Keep sending red envelopes in!”
Cheng Jiheng replied, “Got it!” and promptly shoved in two big red envelopes.
At the same time, Ji Shubai grabbed his phone and shot a WeChat message to Bai Xinglan.
“Don’t block me! Let me out! I need to open the door for my husband! Hubby! Lipstick! My lipstick!” Su Yan thrashing around and trying to get to the door.
“I can’t hold her back any longer! She seems to open the door!”
“She works out every day. We’re no match for her!” one of the bridesmaids shouted.
“Let me go! My lipstick!”
Yao Anan had no choice but to jump into the fray.
Just as the five friends were wrestling on the bed, Cheng Jiheng’s voice suddenly rang out from the doorway. “Wow, it’s quite the party here.”
The five friends froze and turned to look at the door.
The previously locked door was now wide open, and the groom’s crew was already inside.
Bai Xingfan was at the front, holding a rose in one hand and a shoe in the other. With a grin on his face and eyes sparkling like stars, he said casually, “I didn’t expect it to be so lively in here.”
Su Yan: “…”
Four bridesmaids: “…”
After a few seconds of shock, they finally pieced it together and shot glares at the traitor.
Bai Xinglan shrank back into the corner, stammering, “Well, blood is thicker than water, my… my brother, my dear brother…”
Su Yan and the bridesmaids were staring at him with blank expressions.
Bai Xinglan covered his face with one hand, feeling super guilty. “I’m sorry, I betrayed the organisation.”
Bai Xingfan walked over to Su Yan, holding out a bouquet of flowers.
She was sitting by the bed, and he knelt down in front of her, offering the bouquet with a smile, asking, “Mrs. Bai, will you come with me?”
“One shoe is still missing!” Su Yan scoffed.
Bai Xinglan weakly pointed at the cabinet and muttered, “It’s up there…”
Su Yan: ‘… What a great brother you are! ‘
Su Zhan was busy rummaging through the closet. He grabbed the shoe and handed it to Bai Xingfan, saying, “Here you go, brother-in-law.”
Su Yan shot back at her brother. “You are eager to call him brother-in-law!!!”
Su Zhan replied with confidence, “I’ve been calling him that for almost a year now; how could I not?”
Su Yan felt a mix of annoyance and amusement.
Bai Xingfan gently put shoes on Su Yan and asked, “Can you come with me now?”
Su Yan hesitated, feeling a bit cheated. After a moment, she replied, “No, we have a game planned.”
Yao Anan chimed in, “Right, the auspicious time hasn’t come yet. The groomsmen need to take on our bridesmaids’ challenge.”
Bai Xingfan stood up, curious, “What challenge?”
Su Yan glanced at the four bestsmen—she considered Bai Xinglan a traitor—and narrowed her eyes slightly. “They’ll be paired up, with one person carrying the other on their back while dancing barefoot on an acupressure mat.”
Su Zhan: “…”
Bai Xinglan: “…”
Cheng Jiheng: “…”
Ji Shubai: “…”
After a three-second silence—
Su Zhan finally said, “I can’t do it. I’m too weak and not as good as you guys.”
“No way, I’m even worse than him. I couldn’t even pass the college physical test. I can’t lift anything with my arms or shoulders. Nope, this isn’t for me.” Bai Xinglan protested.
Su Yan & bridesmaid: “…”
They were at a loss for words. But what really left them speechless were the two guys behind them—
Cheng Jiheng: “I lost my parents when I was a kid.”
Ji Shubai: “I’ve been battling a serious illness for years.”
Cheng Jiheng: “I’ve got a terrible personality, and I’m likely to cheat, so I can’t be a key player.”
Ji Shubai: “I’m honest but have a dark side; I act like I follow the rules but really don’t, so I can’t handle such a big responsibility.”
Bridesmaids: “…
‘Wow, these two are something else. ‘
Su Yan paused for a moment, then glanced at her husband with a hint of sympathy. “Looks like your groomsmen aren’t exactly a tight-knit group either.”
Bai Xingfan: “…
