Su Yan and Bai Xingfan welcomed their second child, a boy named Bai Fuyu. Like his sister’s name, the little boy’s name was also given by his great-grandfather. Since he was born on August 15, his nickname was Bai Shiwu. 

In comparison to his sister Bai Qiqi, Bai Shiwu was quite the little troublemaker. From a young age, he had shown all the classic boyish mischief, which often left his mom feeling a bit exasperated. But she had a secret weapon: when she pulled it out, he instantly turned into an obedient child. 

One morning, Su Yan called her two-year-old son for breakfast, but he was too engrossed in playing with his toy car. It was like he couldn’t hear her at all. Feeling a bit stuck, Su Yan glanced at the stairs and mentioned, “Sister will be down soon.” 

The word “sister” worked like magic. Bai Shiwu immediately abandoned his car, jumped up, and dashed to the dining room. 

A few minutes later, Bai Xingfan brought Qiqi downstairs. She was dressed in a military green camouflage outfit for a special activity at kindergarten. She had a thick black ponytail that her dad had braided for her. 

When Bai Shiwu reached the dining table, he insisted he wouldn’t let his mom lift him into his chair because he wanted to wait for his sister. As soon as he spotted her entering the room, he eagerly pulled out a chair for her and said, “Sister, it’s time for breakfast!” 

Bai Qiqi squinted at him and replied, “Nice job! I’ll get you a chocolate when I’m back from school.”

This girl had an attitude that screamed confidence and dominance, almost like a female bandit leader ruling the mountains. Plus, she had shed the baby fat and transformed into a tall, slender young child. Her features were starting to resemble her dad’s, but her face had a softer look. She was stunning and carried a hint of a heroic vibe. 

When Bai Shiwu heard about the reward, he was over the moon, “Thanks, sis! You’re the best!” 

Su Yan was left speechless by her kids. She turned to her husband with a puzzled look, and asked, “Why didn’t our idea of giving him chocolate work?” 

Bai Xingfan chuckled and said, “Because Qiqi is just that amazing.” 

Su Yan couldn’t argue. ‘This girl really is something else.’

Actually, Bai Qiqi was like the queen at the kindergarten, with fans trailing her everywhere. She kept her little crew in line and even had “martial arts battles” with the bullies from Class 3 during afternoon activities. The loser had to give up a week’s worth of snacks to the winner. Bai Qiqi’s teacher had to talk to Su Yan because she’d been collecting snacks from Class 3 for a whole month! The kids from Class 3 were not happy, and their teacher had to step in to negotiate peace with the teacher from Class 1.

The negotiations led to a decision that from that day forward, all gang fights were off-limits, and Gang Leader Bai could no longer take snacks from others in a rough way. The head teacher called in Su Yan and Bai Xingfan along with other parents to inform them. 

When Su Yan got the notice, she felt a bit puzzled. She always knew there would be a day when parenting would hit her, but it seemed to have arrived sooner than she thought. 

After leaving the head teacher’s office, Su Yan and Bai Xingfan took their child straight home. During the ride, Su Yan started to talk to her child. “Qiqi, picking on other kids is not cool. You shouldn’t do that.” 

Bai Qiqi, sitting in her car seat, replied confidently, “I didn’t pick on them! They lost fair and square. If they wanted to play, they should accept the outcome. Reporting it to the teacher? That’s just embarrassing!” 

Before Su Yan could respond, Bai Xingfan, who was driving, chimed in, “So how do you compete?” 

Bai Qiqi answered, “There are lots of ways! Sometimes we wrestle, sometimes we do relay races, or running races, and even see who can collect the most red flowers in a week. They can’t beat me at any of those!” 

Bai Xingfan asked, “So you didn’t bully them, right?” 

Bai Qiqi replied, “Of course not! I don’t bully the weak. That’s not how a big boss rolls. If people found out, the other kids would just laugh at me.” 

Bai Xingfan chuckled, and Su Yan couldn’t help but laugh too. She was pleasantly surprised by how open-minded her daughter was.

Bai Xingfan remarked, “If you didn’t bully them, then they must have been mistaken. In a fair competition, if you’re willing to take the risk, you should also be ready to accept defeat.” 

Bai Qiqi chimed in, “Exactly, going to the teacher is just cheating.” 

Su Yan agreed but noted that since the head teacher had called them both in, it was likely she wanted the parents to settle things down. “Qiqi, since the teacher is already aware of this, you can’t keep pushing it. Otherwise, you might end up in trouble.” 

Bai Qiqi pouted, and muttered, “That Bighead Fish is probably feeling pretty smug right now.” 

Su Yan and Bai Xingfan both asked at the same time, “Bighead Fish?” 

Bai Qiqi explained. “He’s the leader of the third squad. He has a big head, so we call him Bighead Fish.” 

Su Yan was speechless. 

Bai Xingfan added, “Qiqi, it’s not nice to give other kids nicknames like that. When it comes to teaching kids, I have to be clear—it’s disrespectful and rude.” 

Bai Qiqi defended herself, “I didn’t make that name up! Someone from their class called him that. He even gave me a nickname!” 

Suppressing her laughter, Su Yan asked, “What did they call you?” 

Bai Qiqi sighed, looking annoyed, “The powerful female King Kong.” 

“Hahahahahaha!” Su Yan and Bai Xingfan burst into laughter. 

Bai Qiqi frowned. “Humph! I’m not talking to you guys!” She huffed, “Bighead Fish gave me that nickname, but I didn’t even hit him. I was being nice! If Bai Shiwu had called me that, I would’ve knocked him out ages ago! Bighead Fish really doesn’t know how to appreciate kindness.”

Su Yan totally believed what her daughter said. The little girl was tough on her little brother. When the rest of the family threatened to give him a beating, it was all just for show. Only Bai Qiqi actually followed through. That was why Bai Shiwu wasn’t scared of anyone else—just his sister. 

Once his sister sat down, Bai Shiwu reached out to his mom, wanting her to lift him up to the high chair.
