You hidden in my heart - Chapter 19.1

Chapter 19.1
The final class finished at 4:00 pm on Saturday, and there was a meeting for parents and teachers at 4:30 pm.
As soon as the bell rang, the whole senior high school teaching area suddenly became very active. The teachers stopped their work in the classrooms and went out while students cleaned the classrooms and arranged desks and tables neatly. Even they clean their drawers so they won’t get in trouble with their parents.
Li Xining packed her stuff and went to look for Chen Lin, who was a subject monitor. She was in charge of the class, and their class teacher, Lao Zhou, trusted Chen Lin the most in the class. As Lao Zhou’s most trusted students, both of them had to make sure everything was in order to hold the parents’ meeting.
There was a utility room on their floor, and besides storing cleaning tools like mops, brooms, and trash cans, there were also desks available for use in case of an emergency.
When parents and teachers meet, these empty desks would be useful.
Li Xining wanted to move a table with Chen Lin. But this action made Lu Yuling jealous. Very jealous.
Chen Lin joined their class when they were in their second year of high school.
Two months into the second year of high school, rumours started going around about Chen Lin and Li Xining in the class. Actually, they didn’t have a bad relationship. They only talked about school work, and it was all arranged by their teacher. Many fans of the “Linxi” CP ship like Ma Pang because they seem like a perfect match. One was a male god and the other was a goddess, and both were good in character and academics.
In the past, when he heard about scandals like this, Lu Yuling would curse in his mind.
He felt very jealous and kept a close eye on his love rival when they met. Lu Yuling could tell that Chen Lin liked Li Xining because he would often come over to play badminton with Li Xining. Even bring water to her.
But now, Lu Yuling had a pink rabbit on his schoolbag, which was like having a gold medal that made him safe from death. He could finally openly confront Chen Lin and fight with him.
When Lu Yuling saw Li Xining and Chen Lin walking to the utility room together, he quickly stood up and ran to the utility room door. He used his strength to block the door and stood there, watching Li Xining with no way to help.
Li Xining was confused by Lu Yuling’s actions in blocking the door and felt powerless.
“What are you doing?”
Lu Yuling said with confidence, “I will help you move the tables.”
Li Xining replied warmly, “No need; you can go pack your things.”
Lu Yuling was particularly insistent. “I’ve packed it.” After saying that, he deliberately glanced at Chen Lin; the hint couldn’t be more obvious: Tell him to get out.
Li Xining finally understood what the little princess was trying to say, and she felt like laughing. But she felt awkward to laugh in front of Chen Lin, so she tried to stop herself from laughing and told Chen Lin, “Why don’t you go help Lao Zhou with the presentation first? I’ll move the table with him.”
Who knew that Chen Lin would actually reply like this? “You go and arrange the PowerPoint; let the boys do things like move the table.”
‘It looks like Ma Pang’s analysis is right. Chen Lin is the best at playing tricks.’ Lu Yuling thought angrily.
Li Xining couldn’t argue against what Chen Lin said. She looked at the little princess and said, “Sure.”
[TL: I think you all can remember that “little princess” is the secret nick-name of Lu Yuling’s.]
Lu Yuling thought about everything, but he didn’t think he would end up working at Chen Lin. ‘This d*mn man!’
After Li Xining left, Lu Yuling coughed a little and moved to the side, as if nothing had happened.
Chen Lin walked into the utility room, stood behind the desk, and said this to Lu Yuling, who was standing at the door regardless of previous suspicions. “If you don’t want to move tables with me, you can leave now.”
Chen Lin’s words sounded quite magnanimous, but actually, they were a provocation.
Lu Yuling couldn’t go away, even if he wanted to.
Lu Yuling looked back at Chen Lin with a confident expression and then helped him move the table out of the utility room.
Many people had gone out of the classroom. Li Xining was fixing Lao Zhou’s computer so he could show a PowerPoint on the stage. Many moms and dads were standing in groups of two or three by the door.
And nobody was paying attention to the two boys moving the table.
Chen Lin was walking ahead, and Lu Yuling was walking in the opposite direction. As they were about to go through the back door of the classroom, Chen Lin quietly said to the other person, “You’re not good enough for her.”
As Chen Lin said that, he remained calm and didn’t even look at Lu Yuling. He didn’t show any reaction, like he didn’t speak just now.
Lu Yuling burst suddenly. ‘Are you still trying to fool me?’ He angrily threw the table on the ground and stared at Chen Lin. Tell me again, you jerk.”
He caused a lot of excitement. The parents quickly peeked into the classroom and lowered their heads.
Li Xining, who was arranging the presentation, hurriedly looked to the back of the classroom with surprise and worry.
Chen Lin frowned, helpless, and a little tired. “What did I say?” His tone was weak, as if he really didn’t know why Lu Yuling was suddenly angry.
Lu Yuling made a tight fist and glared at Chen Lin. Li Xining saw that Lu Yuling was going to make trouble again. Li Xining hurriedly scolded him, “Lu Yuling!” and walked over to where they were standing.
The meeting between parents and teachers was about to start. If Lu Yuling made trouble now, Lao Zhou would not forgive him easily. Chen Lin thought arrogantly.
Chen Ling didn’t even bother to collect Lu Yuling’s homework, let alone take the initiative to provoke him, so Li Xining subconsciously determined that it was definitely not Chen Lin’s fault because she felt that it was impossible. ‘There must be some misunderstanding.’
After walking over, Li Xining said to Lu Yuling, “You go first.” She just wanted to separate the two of them quickly to avoid intensifying the conflict.
Who knew that these words would make Lu Yuling even more angry? It was like making things worse. He was mad and felt hurt because she didn’t believe him. He looked at Li Xining and asked why she wanted him to leave.
A lot of parents were standing near the door and watching. Li Xining was worried and scared. If the problem keeps going, Lao Zhou will be drawn in. Just when she didn’t know how to make Lu Yuling feel better, Chen Lin said something at the right time. He looked kindly at Lu Yuling and said in a friendly way, “I’m sorry if I said something wrong earlier. Please stop causing problems. I will call the parents soon. If we keep causing problems, Lao Zhou will come, and many parents will be watching outside the classroom. Please don’t make our class feel embarrassed.”
Li Xining quickly joined in. “Yes, please stop causing problems now. He said sorry to you too. If there’s a problem, we’ll fix it after the meeting with your parents and teacher.”
Lu Yuling now completely understood what Chen Lin had just said to him—he intentionally made him angry first and then acted like a good person. ‘Wow, that’s great.’
But Li Xining didn’t believe it was Chen Lin’s fault.
Lu Yuling took a big breath and asked Li Xining, “Do you think it’s my fault?”
Li Xining felt frustrated and a bit angry. She thought that Lu Yuling was only causing trouble. “Can you please stop? There are so many people watching.”
Lu Yuling agreed and left the classroom without looking back.
Li Xining didn’t feel very well, and she felt upset.
At that moment, Chen Lin suddenly told her, “I’m sorry.” He still sounded gentle and apologetic as he said, “This is not his fault; it’s my fault. He walked backwards, and he walked a bit slowly. I made fun of him for walking like a girl, and it made him mad.”
Li Xining knew that Lu Yuling didn’t like Chen Lin, and it was possible that he would lose his temper after being laughed at by Chen Lin, so she did not doubt Chen Lin’s words but instead responded by apologising for Lu Yuling. “Don’t take it too seriously; he’s like that.”

“It’s okay.” Chen Lin disagreed. “Let’s lift the table first; the parents are waiting to sign in.”
“Oh.” Li Xining and Chen Lin moved the table to the front door of the classroom.
Later, Chen Lin was responsible for taking parents’ signatures, and Li Xining was responsible for guiding the parents to their seats after signing in.
Around 4:15, a tall man in a suit and leather shoes came into the classroom. The man was very good-looking and had a great personality.
Li Xining asked politely, “Uncle, who are you?” Whose parent?”
“Lu Yuling’s uncle.” Lu Rongxing knew that this girl was the class leader, so he waved his hand directly to her and said, “No need to guide me. I know where this kid is sitting.”
After he said that, he walked towards the back of the class, where Lu Yuling’s seat was placed.
After seeing that, Li Xining wanted to laugh a little, but out of politeness, she held back. The next moment she saw her mother, she was surprised and smiled happily.
Yu Wenyin also laughed, and after walking into the classroom, she asked, “Baby, where are you sitting?”
Li Xining pointed towards the middle of the third row and said, “There.” After saying that, she asked again, “Where are my grandparents?”
“Downstairs, they are waiting for you to eat chicken steak.” After saying that, Yu Wenyin walked towards her daughter’s seat.
