Chapter 25.1

Because Lu Yuling was coming for make-up lessons, Li Xining had to wake up early in the morning on the first day of the holiday.

When she was having breakfast, she was still wearing pyjamas. After noticing this, Yu Wenyin warned her gently but firmly. “Change your clothes after eating. Also, when you are tutoring that brat, you can’t close the door.”

Although she knew that brat would never and would not dare to touch her daughter casually, boys and girls still had to maintain a certain distance because they had not yet reached an age and relationship where they could be alone in the same room.

Although she was a little embarrassed, Li Xining also knew that her mother was doing it for her own good, so she nodded obediently. “I understand.”

“Have you decided what to teach him today? What subjects is he good at?” Mr. Li asked his granddaughter.

Li Xining sighed and said, “Good at? The word “good at” cannot be applied to him. He has to complete all subjects!”

“How come you are so fierce?” Mr. Li said helplessly, “Little girls can’t be too fierce. Yu Ling is even afraid of you.”

‘How dare that ba*tard complain behind my back?’ Li Xining became even more angry: “He told you that he was afraid of me?”

Mr. Li: “Does he dare say that to me? He won’t dare, even if you give him ten more courage! I asked him yesterday if he thought our little one was a bit fierce? Can you guess what he said?”

Li Xining was doubtful. “Grandpa, how can you ask that?”

Mr. Li smiled and replied, “The original words are: It’s okay, but a bit strict. Look at the word he uses; it’s a bit strict. Do you think he is not afraid of you? He doesn’t even dare say bad things about you behind your back.”

Li Xining laughed angrily and said with a red face, “This annoying guy.”

When the family of four was having fun, suddenly the doorbell rang, leaving them stunned.

Mrs. Li was the first to speak, saying in disbelief, “He can’t come so early, right?”

Yu Wenyin stood up from her seat, walked behind the door, looked outside through the peephole, and said in surprise, “Oh, it’s true, Xining, go change clothes quickly.”

Li Xining quickly got up and returned to the bedroom.

After her daughter closed the door, Yu Wenyin opened the door.

Lu Rongxing stood there wearing a crisp suit and carrying large and small high-end supplement gift boxes. Lu Yuling was standing behind his uncle, wearing casual clothes and carrying a black schoolbag with a pink rabbit key tag on it, behaving very well.

After seeing Yu Wenyin, Lu Rongxing immediately showed a bright smile. “Good morning, Ms. Yu.” There was even a bit of flattery in his tone, as if he had met the benefactor’s father. What’s more, his eldest nephew was so obsessed with this girl.

Yu Wenyin turned aside to make way for them and replied with a smile, “Why are you here so early?”

It was only 7.30 in the morning, and when Lu Rongxing entered the house, he found that the Li family was still having breakfast. “I have to be at the company at eight o’clock for an emergency meeting today, so I sent him in advance. Now I’m leaving soon.” After Lu Rongxing explained their early arrival, he said to Mr. Li and Mrs. Li, “Uncle Li, Aunt Li, I told my parents yesterday. When do you want to go? Just call me anytime, and I will arrange for a driver to pick you up.”

Mr. Li nodded and replied, “Okay, I’ll go when I have free time in the next two days. I haven’t seen your parents for a long time, so I have to catch up on old times.”

Mr. Li thought to test the attitude of Mr. and Mrs. Lu towards Lu Yuling first before telling the Zhao family.

Yesterday night, he discussed this matter with his wife, and they came to this agreement. “If the Lu family is sincerely good to Yuling, then there is no need for the Zhao family to pick up a ready-made grandson; otherwise, Rongyu’s suffering would be in vain, but if the Lu family was only superficially kind to Yuling, let’s tell the Zhao family.”

Children couldn’t leave without a home; they must have a home and support.

No matter how arrogant Mr. and Mrs. Zhao were, they would never neglect their own grandson, and Zhao Hailan couldn’t ignore his own son.

After hearing what Mr. Li said, Lu Rongxing smiled and replied, “Sure, I also prepared your favourite drink, Dahongpao. Yesterday, our old man also said that he missed drinking tea.”

Mr. Li replied, “Go back and tell your dad; even if it is Maotai, I can drink.”

Old Mrs. Li glared at her husband and scolded him. “At such an old age, you don’t speak properly! And you do it in front of the child!”

Mr. Li snorted and muttered in dissatisfaction. “You old woman with a bad temper.”

Mrs. Li didn’t intend to stop. “You annoying old thing!”
