Chapter 32.3

Li Xining did not forget Xu Dongruo’s advice to call her as soon as she got home.

 Xu Dongruo seemed to be holding the phone and answered almost instantly. “Are you home?”

 “Just arrived.” After Li Xining changed her shoes, she walked towards her bedroom while replying to Xu Dongruo. “What’s wrong? What do you have to tell me?”

 Xu Dongruo did not go straight to the topic but asked first, “Is there anyone around you now? If there are people around, go to your room and close the door.”

 After hearing this, Li Xining was still a little excited, thinking about how much gossip there was, so she accelerated to her room, then closed the door with her backhand and urged impatiently. “Okay, close it, you say it!”

 Xu Dongruo didn’t know what to say. She muttered for a long time before saying goodbye to her phone. “I’ll send you the link. You can see for yourself. I can’t explain in a sentence or two.”

 “OK. “

 After hanging up the phone, Li Xining clicked on WeChat and waited expectantly for Xu Dongruo to send her a gossip link. Within half a minute, the link came. It was the Tieba link for Xifu No. 1 Middle School.

 The title of the post was eye-catching, and so many people liked it. Is this the beauty of your school? [I saw her going to the supermarket with a guy to buy ‘what you know.’]

Li Xining stared at the phone screen for a long time before he realised it, and her cheeks turned red instantly.

 High school students were very vague about the concept of “s*x,” and children of their age were not open-minded enough. 

 Although she didn’t know who the protagonist in the post was, Li Xining felt a little sympathy for her. ‘It’s so embarrassing.’

 She clicked on the link and opened the post, and the first thing that caught Li Xining’s eye were two photos.

 The moment she clearly saw who was in the photos, she felt as if she had been struck by lightning. There was a “boom” in her head, and she was instantly blown into a blank. ‘How? Me and Lu Yuling?’

 The setting was a supermarket. Lu Yuling was walking with a guitar on his back and pushing a shopping cart in front of him, and she stood next to Lu Yuling wearing the same clothes she has on now.

 Li Xining was very surprised. She looked at her phone screen with a blank expression. She was dumbfounded and forgot to take a breath for a moment.

 After feeling confused for a while, Li Xining slowly started to understand what was happening and read the comments with shaky hands.

 The people who had commented seemed to think the same way, and they all called her a mean name.

 Another person had commented: [The boy’s name is Lu Yuling, and he is in Class 37, Grade 3.] The girl’s name is Li Xining, and she is also in Class 37, Grade 3. They were school beauties, but they also came to buy c*ndoms. Hehe…]

Then she was scolded again, and everyone called her a fake noble bitch.

 Li Xining’s eyes suddenly turned red, and tears started to build up in them. She was mad and upset, and she started breathing faster. Her chest went up and down like she was having trouble breathing, and she also felt like throwing up and felt gross.

 She closed the internet window quickly because she couldn’t look at the insulting words anymore.

 Shortly after that, Xu Dongruo made a video call on WeChat. 

 After taking a few deep breaths, Li Xining used her shaky hands to press the connect button. However, she still couldn’t handle her feelings and was full of anger. She was very upset and kept crying, saying, “I didn’t do it; we didn’t do it.”

 “I know you didn’t do it,” Xu Dongruo said. “Why are you crying? Will crying help to solve it?”

 “What do you think I should do?” Li Xining, who had never faced such a thing before, was very confused and didn’t know what to do. 

 They say that people couldn’t truly understand others’s misery until they faced the same. Li Xining realised that was true because she was in such a situation that it had made her confused and she couldn’t see what was coming next.
