While crying, Li Xining ran out of the bar.

Xue Kun, who was staring at the bar, saw Li Xining coming out with tears running down her face. He suddenly felt happy and said to Cheng Ling, who was also keeping his eyes on the bar, “Brother Cheng, look at that face of that b*tch. It seems they had a fight, and Lu Yuling was mad at her.”

Xue Kun looked like a little eunuch next to the so-called Emperor Cheng Ling.

Seeing that, Cheng Ling kept looking at the door for some time, and after not seeing Lu Yuling’s figure, he was certain that Lu Yuling would not come out with the girl. “Okay, let’s coax the girl,” he said with a smirk after crushing his cigarette. 

Xue Kun understood what Cheng Ling wanted to do. He wanted to make Li Xining embarrassed, but as he wore a mask of being a righteous person, he wanted to borrow Cheng Ling to do the dirty work.

When he confessed to Li Xining that day, he was so sure that she would accept him. He thought Li Xining was interested in him because Li Xining looked at him by accident in the hallway one day.

He confessed to her, giving her a ninety-nine bouquet of roses in front of his friends, and got rejected. After that, all his friends made fun of him, and he felt very embarrassed.

After that incident, Xue Kun thought Li Xining intentionally led him to confess to her to make him embarrassed. However, it was even more frustrating because she was with Lu Yuling. He really didn’t like Lu Yuling. He, a mad dog—how could Li Xining like such a mad dog?

Therefore, Xue Kun had been wanting to remove the fake mask of Li Xining for a long time. 

Xue Kun got up and followed Cheng Ling like a loyal follower.

Meanwhile, Li Xining kept crying and cursed Lu Yuling in her heart. ‘I’m a fool. A big fool to trust that idiot.’ 

She kept walking fast, so it took a while for Xue Kun and Cheng Ling to catch up with her. 

“Hey school beauty, where are you going?” Xue Kun called out with a dirty smile on his face.

Li Xining thought she was really unlucky when she saw Xue Kun. She ignored him and tried to leave quickly, but Xue Kun insisted on stopping her. 

Suddenly he shoved her and asked, “Where are you going, school beauty? Are you rushing to buy condoms?”

Li Xining became very angry, and her face turned red. She looked angrily at Xue Kun and shouted, “Are you sick?”

“Brother Cheng, this girl is hard to make happy because she gets angry easily,” Xue Kun said with a sneer.

‘Brother Cheng?’ Li Xining quickly looked back and saw the young man looking like a gangster looking at her with a smirk. ‘Is that Cheng Ling, the person who picked on Ma Pang?’

Li Xining suddenly had an uneasy feeling and got scared all of a sudden. Xue Kun and Cheng Ling surrounded her, and she couldn’t get away no matter how she tried. In addition, if she tried to move to the side, Xue Kun would reach out his arm to stop her.

Cheng Ling was getting closer and closer behind her. When he came closer, he reached out his arm towards her, pretending to hug her.

Li Xining was very scared and almost started to cry. Just as she was going to yell for help, someone suddenly shouted her name, “Li Xiaoyao.”

Li Xining looked up and let out a breath of relief, feeling glad that everything was going to be okay. 

As Xue Kun and Cheng Ling watched the new person’s arrival, she pushed Cheng Ling’s arm and ran to him, crying “Brother.”

Li Xiyan quickly stood in front of her sister to keep her safe and looked at the two people with a furious look. “Do you want to die?” His voice was as cold as ice.

Li Xiyan has very light skin, a tall and straight body, and strong facial features. As he wore a well-fitted suit, he looked like a powerful person. 

Xue Kun, who was still in high school, looked at the man who seemed in his mid-twenties with a little fear. So subconsciously, he took a few steps back and hid behind his brother Cheng.

A lackey was someone who did whatever they were told without question. Therefore, Xue Kun showed it clearly this time. 

Cheng Ling looked at Xue Kun with disgust, but luckily, the other brothers quickly came to support him when they saw their big brother was facing a problem. Seven or eight bad guys quickly surrounded Li Xining and her brother in a circle.

Each one looked scarier than the next, like mean dogs protecting their owners. 

Actually, Cheng Ling was a bit scared of the man in front of him. He could tell from the way the man dressed and spoke that he was not someone to be taken lightly. But if he got too scared in front of his little brothers, he wouldn’t be able to raise his head among them. Therefore, he had to be brave. Anyway, the other side had only two people, and one of them was a woman, so what was so scary about them?

He also disliked rich people a little bit.

He was unable to get into any college after high school, not even a technical college. His parents were regular workers, and the family income was not so positive. Although he needed a job, with a high school diploma, he couldn’t find one as he wished. Because he was unemployed, he consequently started to rely on his parents’ income to maintain himself. 

His life was not as easy as he showed others. So he could only pretend to be cool in front of these high school students who haven’t graduated yet. Another reason why he hated Lu Yuling was because Lu Yuling never took him seriously from beginning to end. Lu Yuling was just a young boy who had just entered the first year of high school, but he dared to threaten him and even brought people to break one of his arms, which showed that Lu Yuling saw through his nature from the beginning.

Thus, Cheng Ling constantly believed that Lu Yuling mocked him due to his family. Although he couldn’t tolerate Lu Yuling, Cheng Ling didn’t dare to do anything to Lu Yuling because of Lu Yuling’s family background. 

His hatred of the wealthy grew stronger as time went on, and he became more and more twisted and miserable.

Cheng Ling was sure that the man in front of him was a rich man, and it made Cheng Ling feel a little disgusted and hostile to him. 

Furthermore, he couldn’t let the man go lightly since he started to defend Lu Yuling’s girl. He chuckled and gave the man a sarcastic look, saying, “You seem old, so there’s no need to get mad at us over a small girl, right? What will happen if your family gets to know that you like small girls?”

He had previously defined Li Xining as a little s*ut who called other people “brother” like Han Qiaowei, so he never thought that this was her real brother and looked down on this man in glasses. ‘Oh, this man looks gentle; who would have thought that he would hook up with high school students? Funny how, despite their serious appearance, wealthy people are the dirtiest of all.’

Li Xiyan was obviously furious upon realising what Cheng Ling meant, but he had to look out for his sister. He didn’t just start a fight in front of his sister, and even if he did, he had to wait for Li Xiaowu to come with his men. He could only hold his tongue and say, “Be kind; she’s my sister,” for the time being.

“Of course, I know she’s your sister, but who knows how many sisters you have?” 

With a scornful grin, Cheng Ling looked at Li Xining, who was standing behind Li Xiyan, and said, “You don’t know how many brothers she has, right? She remembers the brand of condoms better than you do. Is this little s*ut worth your protection?”

Just as Cheng Ling was about to say something that would cause the man and his “sister” to break up, a dark, angry voice came from behind him. “Cheng Ling, you want to die, right?”

It was Lu Yuling.

Cheng Ling barely had time to express his shock at discovering who it was before countless shouts filled his ears. Simultaneously, there was a “bang” sound on his head, and the bottle of dark beer burst into pieces.
