Usually, Li Xining didn’t go home until 10:00 in the evening. Today, her mother took her home before six o’clock. Moreover, the left side of her face was still red and swollen, and Mr. Li and Mrs. Li could definitely tell that something was wrong.

As soon as her granddaughter entered the house, Mrs. Li was stunned. “Why did you come back so early today? What happened to your face? Did you get beaten?”

Li Xining was afraid to disclose to her grandparents that she had gotten into fights with other people. But she was brave enough to inform them that she was beaten. She knew she could escape from her mother’s clutches if she gained the sympathy of her grandparents. So she nodded pitifully.

But who knew her plan would be destroyed by her own mother? 

“The teacher has asked you to go home and reflect, but you still have the nerve to nod?” Yu Wenyin poked her daughter’s forehead and scolded.

Li Xining rubbed her forehead and replied aggrievedly, “She was the one who hit me first. She brought four people to block me and Xu Dongruo, and she slapped me without even saying a word.”

The elderly couple got up from the couch because they were so terrified.

Old Mr. Li jogged all the way to his granddaughter’s side. “Oh, let me take a look.” 

Grasping her granddaughter’s face, Old Mrs. Li gazed at it intently. “Who on earth is capable of doing such a useless thing?”

“She is such a bastard! This kind of person should be expelled from the school!” Mr. Li called Li Xichen because he was so furious: “Hey, Xiao Wu. Your sister was beaten at school. No matter how busy you are, you have to take someone to settle the accounts.”

When people got old, they would behave like naughty children. 

When Li Xining saw that the matter was getting serious, she hurriedly grabbed her grandfather’s cell phone and then hurriedly said to the fifth brother on the other side of the phone, “I’m fine! Don’t bring anyone to our school tomorrow!”

“You are blocked; don’t Lu Yuling care?” inquired Li Xichen, who was a little unhappy.

Li Xining told the truth. “I had already won when he came, so there was no need for him to intervene.” 

Li Xichen smiled and said, “Then you are pretty good.” Finally, he asked again, “You really don’t need me to come tomorrow?”

“No! That’s it, bye.” After hanging up the phone, she returned the phone to her grandfather and immediately comforted the two old people who were frightened by her, “Don’t worry, you two. I’m not being bullied. She just hit me.”

Mrs. Li was still worried. “Your face is swollen. It was obvious she aimed at you!”

Grandma was correct. She was the target of Han Qiaowei, but Li Xining believed that Han Qiaowei must have lost her face today and that she would never try to bother her again.

Yu Wenyin also started to console the two elderly people at this point, saying, “You two, just listen to her acting pathetic. She is purposefully telling you this because she fears punishment from me.”

Her little plan was exposed, and Li Xining’s face turned red. “I’m not pretending to be pitiful; she was the one who beat me first,” she muttered.

Yu Wenyin stared at her daughter with an annoyed expression, “They hit you, and you almost hit them. You are so disfigured that you still have the nerve to pretend to be pitiful.”

Li Xining stopped talking.

Yu Wenyin sighed and then said to the two old people, “The school gave her a punishment. Because she gathered a crowd to fight, 30 credits were deducted, and she was banned from school for two days. She will reflect at home. You guys, stay at home these two days to keep an eye on her. Don’t let her go anywhere, and don’t let her meet anyone. Let her reflect at home!”

Although she loved her daughter so much, as a mother it was necessary to punish Li Xining when she did something wrong. “Also, the pocket money for this month and next month will be halved, the tablet will be confiscated, and you are not allowed to watch TV series before the winter vacation.”

Although Mrs. Li and Mr. Li doted on their granddaughter, they also respected their daughter-in-law. When their daughter-in-law educated her child, they never interfered. At most, they would just give the child some money when her daughter-in-law was not paying attention.

The storm was going to come sooner or later, and Li Xining pursed her lips in frustration and dissatisfaction.

Yu Wenyin persisted in her criticism, saying, “Stop pouting. If your grade falls outside of the top ten after this month’s exam, your future pocket money will be cut in half, and your phone will be seized until your results are returned.”

Unable to resist, Li Xining bowed her head and gave a feeble “I know.” Then she went back to the room with her schoolbag and shut the door.
