You hidden in my heart - Chapter 52.2

Chapter 52.2
Zhengxing Entertainment was a large company with different sub-companies, such as media companies, brokerage companies, and film and television companies, under it.
Zhao Hailan was now the head of Zhengxing Group. But he no longer led people personally because he was responsible for the operation and development of the entire group, and he really couldn’t spare the energy to lead newcomers.
The vice president, Wang He, was mainly responsible for training new people.
Wang He was a well-known agent in the circle. He had brought out many superstars, and the reputation of Wang He in the entertainment circle was that there was no one he could not make a superstar.
Hoping that Wang He would definitely take Lu Yuling under his wings, Zhao Hailan sent Lu Yuling’s performance video to Wang He.
“Mr. Zhao wants to sign him?” Wang He sent a message after a few minutes.
Zhao Hailan did not reply to Wang He immediately. Instead, he walked out of the gymnasium, came to a remote corner with no one around, and called Wang He. “Let’s post this video online first to lay the groundwork.”
Creating a foreshadowing involved sharing a video of an artist online before their official debut, without any prior marketing. This would build excitement for the artist’s earlier work once they gain popularity. It would not only pique fans’ interest but also attract casual viewers.
Upon hearing the words from his boss, Wang He immediately understood what Mr. Zhao meant. “Do you have his contact information? Or do you need me to investigate?”
“Do not reach out to him directly.” Zhao Hailan was well aware of Lu Yuling’s character.
‘If we approach him directly for a signing, he will definitely reject it. So we have to plan it carefully.’ Thinking that, he instructed Wang He. “Organise a singer talent show, wait for him to register, and then make contact after the preliminary round.”
‘Investing in a show solely for the purpose of signing a new artist?’ Wang He felt there was something hidden between this boy and his boss. The promotional efforts for Shen Siqi were not executed on such an extensive scale. ‘Shen Siqi is Mr. Zhao’s nephew, but what of this boy?’ Wang He was taken aback and could not refrain from inquiring, “Is he yours?”
“It is of no concern to you,” Zhao Hailan replied firmly. “Your sole responsibility is to manage him. Do not worry about the expenses. Additionally, show me the details of the program as soon as you make your plan.”
Wang He paused for a moment before saying, “Planning a show takes at least two months, and the whole process with auditions, prelims, semis, and finals will stretch over six months. For talent shows like this, the prime time to catch them is definitely during winter and summer breaks. Waiting until next winter break would be too late, so summer is our best bet. If we want to move things along, we should aim to kick off auditions at the start of next year. Do you think that kid can hold out? Aren’t you worried he might get picked up by someone else?”
Wang He thought signing the boy directly right away to their company would save time, effort, and cash.
However, Zhao Hailan was firm in his decision. “No worries, I’ve got a plan. He’s just a freshman in uni, and he probably hasn’t thought about signing with anyone yet, so he’s not likely to jump into anything.”
Wang He was curious about why his boss was going for a long path just to sign an artist but just replied, “Alright.”
Zhao Hailan went on. “We need to hold auditions at the start of next year. You should start planning and promoting at least two months ahead to get contestants to sign up. And remember, we need to focus our promotions at major universities, especially Xifu University.”
Wang He caught the important point. “He is from Xifu University? What major?”
Zhao Hailan: “I’m not sure yet. I’ll tell you when the admission results come out.” He added, “I think the host in the video also has a promising talent. We can take him to host the talent show.”
Two reserve troops were selected at once. Wang He felt that Mr. Zhao was a little strange today, but he could only reply, “Okay, I understand.”
Have a nice day!
