Since it had been a while since she was here, Lu Yuling decided to whip up a fancy dinner today, including three meat dishes, two vegetable dishes, and a soup.

As soon as the food was served, Li Xining grinned. “Do you miss me that much?”

Lu Yuling nodded. “Yes, I really do.” His voice was calm, but it was also firm.

Whenever he responded to her questions with seriousness, his expression was always resolute, much like a child who pours out his feelings wholeheartedly, sincerely, and without expecting anything in return.

Li Xining could sense that he truly cared for her, devoted his love to her completely, treated her well in many ways, and even saw her as his one and only.

Then, she replied very earnestly, “I miss you, too.”

After dinner, Lu Yuling took her for a stroll downstairs. There was a park next to the community, and in the middle of the park, there was a circular artificial lake. They walked leisurely around the lake holding hands.

The weather was incredibly cool at night in early autumn. As the breeze blew, the trees danced in the wind, creating a refreshing atmosphere.

It was around nine o’clock in the evening, and the park was bustling with young couples, old married couples, and small kids and their parents.

As they strolled along, Li Xining noticed some kids blowing bubbles. It sparked her inner child, so she hurriedly told Lu Yuling about that.

Without hesitation, Lu Yuling headed to the service booth and bought a bottle of bubble solution.

Li Xining twisted off the cap and pulled out the bubble wand. She initially planned to blow directly into it, puffing up her cheeks. But just as she was about to exhale, she had a change of heart, spun around, and aimed the bubble wand at Lu Yuling’s face.

Suddenly, a flurry of clear bubbles popped against his cheek, one after another.

Lu Yuling didn’t flinch. Once the bubble barrage was over, he glanced at Li Xining. “Hateful!” He then mimicked Li Xining.

‘What an actor!’ Li Xining burst into laughter right away and shot back with a playful word: “Hateful!” Then she turned her attention back to playing with bubbles.

“Did my dad bring you here?” She suddenly asked.

Lu Yuling understood what Li Xining was thinking, but he answered her honestly, “No, this park was only built two years ago.”

Li Xining shot him a sceptical glance and muttered with annoyance, “Then he must have taken you to other parks, right?”

“Look, Uncle Li and I have such a great bond; how could he not take me out for some fun?”

“You are just a troublemaker!”

Lu Yuling smiled and replied, “Your father used to play with me, and now I play with you. See, this is fate. You must marry me in the future.”

Li Xining was secretly delighted but replied otherwise, “You wish.”

They returned home after strolling in the park for an hour. Li Xining originally wanted to take a shower and go to bed after returning home, but Lu Yuling refused to let her sleep and tortured her once more before giving up.

It was almost twelve o’clock when he went to bed, and Li Xining set the alarm for seven o’clock tomorrow morning.

She had to go home on Saturday and go to Teacher Zhou’s studio as an apprentice on Sunday.

Now that she had started school, she didn’t have time to relax as she did during her summer vacation.

Starting next week, she had to go to the studio to study every Saturday and Sunday.
